Ways to sample marijuana

so i know there must be about 23141234123 ways to consume cannabis. but how do you do it like the pros?

what i mean is, if i use the same pipe over and over, it masks flavors and aromas of other cannabis. how do i keep a "clean" pipe after each kind i try?

are joints the best? what if im only taking 1 hit samples? would chillums work the best? but how do i clean it between each kind of bud?

Just get several cheap, glass pipes that way you can rotate them, some soaking and some ready to use. It would be a hassle to clean out a pipe between several bowls in one sitting.

I believe it is good to experience a wide variety of herbal flowers in as wide and pleasant a variety of manners and flavors of imbibage as possible , doing so while at one's ultimate leisure.

Since your question seems to be aimed at smoking small loads of different buds... If you simply wipe out the bowl with something like a Q-tip until its clean looking again after each small bowl, you should be able to get the full flavor of each bud with the least "interference" of flavor of the other buds smoked. What kind of pipe are you currently using, metal, glass, wood...etc.?

yes, small loads of many varieties. ive got pretty much every material source to smoke out of (eg wood, glass, metal, bone, stone/ceramic, etc as well as pipes, bongs, vaporizer, hot knifes, green leaf blunts, papers). and im quite an expert in concocting the Green Dragon tincture using everclear.

i guess it never dawned on me, but the idea of buying several small glass pipes and cleaning/soaking them would work very well. considering head shops sell cheap glass pocket-sized pipes for a couple bucks a piece, i could have a little buffet of pipes while i sample.

ive also heard that some buds taste better in a joint vs pipe vs bong..... any suggestions on types of bud to smoke in a particular apparatus?? i use mids and schwag for my GD. and my super dry buds make nice spliffs w/ tobacco. but what about particular strains and how they should be consumed?

im trying to get away from the "smoking to get high for the sake of getting high" to becoming a connoisseur of buds (flavor, aroma, type of high, growth patterns)

I'd keep a simple, clear glass pipe without a lot of curves inside, inside a cup or container filled with Isopropyl Alcohol (find the highest % at Wallgreens, I think its 91% for $2.50)

Let it soak in there for a while and then after a while (10 mins) pour some salt in there (generous amount) and then cover all holes and shake it up for a minute making sure the salt hits all the resin (the salt is an abrasive) after that just rinse it out with water and there you go, clean pipe... I'd do that if you want to taste the full flavor of what your smoking

i would say a true connoisseur would have multiple hand pipes, each cleaned before loaded with a new strain...

way more effective than J's of each strain...

you could even label the glass with a marker, and wash it off when you wash the piece...

get a chillum - they're horribly easy to clean, straight and interesting/unique smoke, and it preserves taste like a champ. Highly recommended.

Indian pipes, order them online if you can't find them in the bigger cities.

1 foot bong or water pipe. You can take tiny snaps and get BLOWN and if you rinse it with hot water every session it will always make weed taste good.

best pipe i ever smoked out of that hit smooth and preserved the taste was a simple indian pipe carved out of a solid piece of quartz.
i miss that pipe.
