Ways to keep roots cool in the heat

need some help here what do u guys do

In ground or container? Mulch, mulch, mulch. I use compost, leafmold, or ewc. Better yet, all 3

I mulch with shredded wood and leaves.

Loose light coloured fabric. Like tan or white bags, big enough to fit your pots into (if they're in pots) and mulch.

The mulch won’t effect ph?

I like to put them in the ground. Seems to keep them cool enough here.
