i live in a city where the water chlorinated, i boil it then let it cool then store it in bottles until i water,
right now the plants are about 2 ins. out of the soil i am not giving them nutrients yet and when i do i plan to give them a 10-10-10 mix.

i am wondering if boiling the water is OK?
and also when do i start feeding them nutrients? and will the nutrients i have work well for growing? please i am new to growing but have a real interest in it so any help would be good

Hope this hels you out a bit lots of info on the boards on food when to feed.

I would pass on the 10/10/10 and give them a 15% 3/1.5/4 or close to it.

Start feeding when they get the first real leaves. Increase the amount of food as they get older. Remember your feeding a baby. Go slow on the food.

You don't need to boil just let set out for 24 hours the crap will evaporate.

You need a PH pen or got to wallmart and get a cheep fish tank kit. It needs to be in the 4 to 8 PH range or as close as you can get.

and also when do i start feeding them nutrients?

After they get the first leaves that look like pot leaves. Go easy on the food. DO NOT EYE BALL THE AMOUNT! Measure it.

and will the nutrients i have work well for growing?

No.

please i am new to growing but have a real interest in it so any help would be good

i don't no about the boiling thing, but i would say just leaving the water set for a day or so is going to be better then boiling. wait tell your plants are at least 2 weeeks old b4 feeding then start at 1/4 to 1/2 strength.

dont feed when they get there first set of real leaves thats crap , wait 2-3 weeks they should have 2-3sets of leaves if not more, those nutes seem okay but there alittle high in N and K, boiling your water is just making it worse trust me and it seems kinda pointless if your letting your water sit regardless the chlorine/chloride will evaporate withing a few hours

dont feed so early, as for nutes, in veg you want something high in nitrogen and lower in potassium and phosphorus, i use a 20-10-10 and its worked fine for me. for flowering you want something with low nitrogen (some will say it needs to be none at all, but w/o nitrogen the leaves will yellow and die earlier, the bigfan leaves make most of the plants energy so keeping em around as long as possible is a good idea imo)and for flowering higher phosphorus(p) and potassium(k) and some will have the same potassium(k) and nitrogen(n) level (10n-20p-10k or 15n-30p-15k- etc). so you might want to find a k additive.
you will kill your plant if you feed it that early. 3 weeks start at 25% veg solution every 3rd watering or so and as the plant gets bigger work your way up to full strength gradually and when you start flowering switch to your bloom nutes.

thank you very much i will let you know how it goes, do you guys know any places to get good lights and things for good prices, also is miricle grow bad for the plants i was told just not to use it no matter what kind it was

Odd. Foxfarm feeding schedule looks like it says you can give your seeds and cuttings big bloom right away and from week one through week twelve, skipping only week four. I feed my plants early with a very weak solution of big bloom and slowly work my way up to full strength if the plants say they can stand it.
