Watering my plants by bucket and hose?

I am getting very tired of walking with huge buckets of water to water my plants.. could I setup a Tupperware full of water and have a hose going to each plant? How do they do it in the mountains will gravity naturally pull water into the hose and into the soil?

Could some one explain how it works better thanks!
