Watering issues after transplant

Hi everyone. I transplanted my plants from 1gal fabric pots to 5gal fabric pots almost 2wks ago. I'm currently in week 4 of veg.

I've been having some problems. The old 1gal portion gets very dry after 24-48hrs, but the rest of the pot (the other 4gal) remain moist. The plants droop out of thirst, so I've been rewatering just the portion around the stem that's dry. What should I do? Should I not give them water and make the roots go looking at the bottom of the pot? Any suggestions?

Mist it and let soil dry some, wet soil is not going to have O

water the old pot like you did before transplanting because that's where the roots are until it has had a couple weeks to grow roots into the new soil. try not to get the new soil too wet and never let the soil dry out or the roots will die.
