I'm on my second run with waterfarms. I think I'm going to need to do a scrog next time. They go crazy when you flip to 12/12 as far as height goes. Or I need to flip them sooner.

I added an airstone to each one. Did you also drill out the holes in the top res? I did that and the roots have a much easier time

Yeah man i did drill holes on the top res. Also i zipped tied the airstone to the bottom of two of the res and added half a gallon of extra water. The airstone splashes up into the hydroton, and causes the roots to grow down much faster.

i cut the sight tube about an inch above the fill line and have been using them as an auto-feed drain to waste. they get one feeding a day so that they have a bit of runoff. don't even touch the waterfarm for the whole grow. works great.

Wow, thats really interesting. I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea, do you have any pictures?

Would have been nice to know day and night temps and RH% to help guide you.
Looks like a 4x4 tent, you are not using it and your time, optimally yet.

The standard tables suggest the following.
16 plants vegged for 10 days flowered for 60 days. If you get everything right from week one where you might start with 75ppm and increment by the same amount until you get to 750ppm at 10 weeks and do something similar with your light. You can pull half pounds ever 2 months.

i don't do pics here but i can explain it real easy.

so like i said, cut the sight tube about 1 inch above the fill line on it. this now becomes the drain.

i have a 30 gal res outside the room that has a pump and feeding lines going out to the waterfarms. i usually do 2 watefarms at a time in the bloom room. the pump turns on once a day for 4 minutes which is enough that it will fill up the waterfarm and start to overflow the sight tube. that's it. there are drains for the overflow to go down and change the 30 gal res once a week or every 10 days.

make sense? if not, ask away.
