Water soaking/ hash oil

ok im new at making hash oil, ive done it twice so far. first time with 151 everclear and the second time with 91% iso alcohol. my question is this,

the other 25% of the everclear and the 9% of the iso is purified water right? and the water soaks up all the water soluble material that it can hold and puts it in your final product correct?

and also the resin is not water soluble, so what if you soaked your green material in water first then dried it before you did the alcohol extraction. wouldnt it pull most of the chlorophyll and other water soluble stuff out of the plant material? would that help the other 9% water to coagulate less green material and water soluble stuff in your final product?

just a thought. im not an expert at making extracts, but it makes sense that this could be possible. but would it also strip the flavor? and im going through all this because getting 99-100% iso is basically out of the question in my state.

so im going to have to use 91% iso the problem is that 9% water soaks up a lot of crap, and it gets deposited on my vape coil and causes it not burn right.

Look into a process called winterazation (spelled very wrong) it's a process to remove most of the chlorophyll and some of the waxes

On the iso alchools the remaining % is not pure water , depending on what grade product you bought it could be may things like stabilizers , heavy metals, other alchools , Thats why many/some people recomend that you use a food grade or techinal grade product
With the 151 most of the remaing product is water but their is some other stuff in their thats what gives different alchools different flavors , but since it is food grade it 'should' not present any problems , but thats not always true

By the way 99% iso is avaible in 50 states in the USA , I know it can be hard to locate but it's legal in all states (mayabe not countys/towns) Try feed/farm supplys or amazon

No water soaking your material will not work! Also yes you can order 99% iso anywhere. Another also as long as you dont leave material in iso too long then 91% works fine just takes longer to evap leftover water. Quicker the soak the less water solubles come with. Plus freezing solvent and material for 36 hours helps lock up chlorophyl.

so is it because the product is not made to be consumed that they dont have to list the stabalizers and heavy metals and such?because it only list pure water. seems like it would be harmful to be ingesting stuff like that. hence why i used 151 everclear the first time.

i think i will try a little harder to locate some 99% iso, ill check Tractor Supply Depot hopefully they got it.

...and i did a quick 30 second wash is that sufficient? should i cut it down to 20 seconds? or is that even enough to catch all the resin? and i only froze my meterial overnight, so maybe ill freeze it for longer next time.

there are 3 types of "99%" alcohol i found to choose from on amazon.com

1. $16 for 32oz 99.953% iso from some chemical company
2 $7.99 32oz 99% pro formula alcohol
or 3. $7 16oz swan 99% rubbing alcohol

if i spend over $35 its free shipping, but would it even matter which one i get? not sure if the.953% would even make a difference for the price.

"On the iso alchools the remaining % is not pure water , depending on what grade product you bought it could be may things like stabilizers , heavy metals, other alchools"

70% is just as clean as 99 minus the water..dont use rubbing as thats typically denatured

see thats what i thought , if any of that crap was in there they would have to list it right?

also check vet supply companies. make sure a haz-mat shipping charge isn't added on as an additional fee
