My past (mini) grows were in BioBizz soil AllMix.It contains an effective blend of soil (20%), compost (35%), worm castings (10%) and Perlite (30%) as well as a special 'pre-mix' (5%) of biologically active organic

I always watered with water from my planted aquariums ,which has a constant Ph of 7.8. I always used Ph down drops to bring it in the 6.2-6.5 range.

Before I start a new grow ,I read this on the BioBizz site :

"
Should I use ph down with this soil and if not ?
We would not advise using pH adjustment chemicals in soil, as the soil acts as a natural buffer, & pH up or down will kill any beneficial bacteria in the rootzone."

I also read pros and cons on Ph adjusting on different forums ,when growing in soil ,many people saying that one should not bother with Ph adjustment when growing in soil.....should I take that for granted?

Are you adding any nutrients with ph buffering with the fish water? Or just fish water? Either way. If your method works then why mess with it?

I only grew short-period autos ,like Betty Boo from joint Doctor -- 8 weeks from seed. I was watering with plain fish water ,and was lowering its PH with chemical PH down.

Didn't have any problems with leaves showing deficiencies ,and when adding ferts (in the last weeks of flowering) ,,no Ph down since the nutrients were bringing it down by themselves .

I would like to know if that PH adjustment is necessary ,when watering with plain nute-free water....should I bother with it or not ,since many people say they do not adjust Ph when growing in organic soils ,like mine.
BioBizz crew claim that the soil has a Ph buffer ,and Ph down chems would cause more harm than good.
