Water curing fresh weed, but the water is clean?

I'm confused here, Im water curing this fresh branch I cut for sampling but the water is still 100% clean with little smell
also the sample sunk in 10 hours, but it just rained heavily here so that may be why

also if you don't think water curing is a good idea then this is not the thread for you

Fresh branch? Have you trimmed the weed?

How long have you cured it for?
Do you change water every day?

All trimmed. First day 24 hours. I took a small bud off to test (quick dry) and it was smooooooth
can my bud really.be that clean?

The rain comment was towards how it sank so fast instead of floating

im just confused on why its so clean. The water has gone from clear to a white thin smoke colour

When I've seen people do this they have normally cured it for about 7 days mate.
You can't really expect much after 24 hours ^^
I don't think your bud is "that clean", I don't think it has had time enough to really cure.
You've used nutes while growing I suppose? They (along with some minerals and salts) will slowly seep into the water.

Just make sure the buds are submerged at all times (to avoid mold).
And change the water every day!
That is, change water 7 times in all if you cure the bud 7 days.

Water curing makes the smoke really smooth, but you need to cure it for a week or so to get the full effect.

any less than that.. and you'll end up with undesirable results.

I personally tried this method.. and didn't really care much for it. It didn't work like people claim it to work.. trust me.

I would much rather go with the good 'ol old-school process.

Then you need help changing water, because it worked as stated for me. Smooth, odorless and bit more potent weed. Don't discourage the guy, if you do it correctly it will give you the correct end result. I did mine for 5-7 days.

When I did it my water never got all nasty looking either. I guess that means we're starting with cleaner buds.

Whether you like the results or not is simply personal preference but to say it doesn't work is simply wrong. It's a scientific process called osmosis and it always does exactly what it's supposed to do. You can't change the way nature works.

I love the curing method, don't get me wrong, I'm just used to seeing brown water after day 1 in most peoples photos, not a slightly cloudy water

Im trying a all natural grow with no nutrients (just some of my own urine a few times, which has worked fine btw at higher concentrations (1:5 ratio and no burnage))

the bud looks fresh, as if it is still growing and getting bigger (maybe just swelling with water?) and the water today (day 2) looks slightly less cloudy then day 1

I am still confused however how it smoked very smooth yesterday. Maybe its due to how I haven't given it many nutes? I got a excellent high as well considering it was a sample, quite impressed.

The strain btw is Galaxy by pyramid seeds. I'll give a full review once I harvest as I could only find 1 other review of the strain, and also a full review on the water cure as I plan on curing my entire harvest this way (as i said, uber stealth)

Thanks for the tips, and I'll be water curing the rest of it for the full 7 day length regardless of water colour. I've done extensive research on this method, so its exciting to put that research to work

any other comments/tips welcome
