If you live in the USA, and pay taxes, how can you say you don't support war. When the cold hard cash you worked hard for gets taxed and partially spent on the machinations of war. I happen to believe that Jesus was actually created for war, as the one annointed to be our King and Savior, what else would He save you from but war? War of a spiritual nature but war just the same. As a follower of Jesus I must say I am not charged with fighting any war, but to spread the Word of Salvation. Our roll in war is that of a witness only. As far as self defense is concerned Jesus said to be prepared to defend yourself. Defense need not be simply passive, but active and pre-emptive, by keeping superior military prowess when talking about self defense of a free nation, I believe it should be in the spirit of determent, and not of conquest or "policing " other nations. Of course some would argue that by keeping a superior military prowess in itself invites conflict, but is that not in itself the mindset of the war monger?

Well, I actually believe Jesus would be against war. But it says in the Bible, If one believes, "there will be wars and rumors of wars", guess what, it was right. I call this the war planet. There are wars everywhere, even here on our streets.

Of course Jesus wouldn't bomb anyone, wouldn't advocate war in any way.
Unfortunately their isn't many people like that.
We have that human nature thing going on. Conflict is in our nature, look at this forum, lot of conflict here, just not violent.
Hate it all you want, blame it on everyone you can think of, (whoever you hate most will do, bankers, the rich, oil, religion, what ever justifies your opinion).
But though out history there has been plenty of wars that didn't include any of those things. Sometimes it was just ego, like Alexander the Great, or Gengis Khan and maybe even Napoleon.

We already have a constitutional mechanism for dealing with Terrorists we want brought to justice it called a Letter of Marque and Reprisal. Put a 2 billion dollar Bounty on his head. People would talk, There are mercs, who could carry out the capture. Hell, the Taliban offered him up on a silver platter if we could prove his involvement we obviously couldn't or we wanted to invade for other reasons (pipeline?).
Here a question would Jesus have fought the Nazi's or would he have given them a stern talkin' to?? We have a great big world with lot's of opinions about how our little slice of it should be run. Look at this Forum we got card carrying Socialist to Bushite Fascists and us super rich libertarians (yeah right). Just think how pissed off you would be if a system was imposed on you that you hated or even thought was against your firmly held spiritual beliefs. Would that tempt you to fight?? Maybe maybe not, but some would and thats terrorism right there. So how do you fight a war on Terrorism?? You can't. Its like after Pearl Harbor we had declared war on sneak attacks,WTF.
IMHO there real problem with Iraq was Saddam was undercutting Bushes little "Buddy" king of saudi arabia he loves to hold hands with and share little smooches with in the rose garden. Through the oil for food program Saddam was cheating with. In afghanistan it was the Talibans refusal just a few months before the war they refused to allow that damn pipeline through their country.

You think that because someone believes that a guy who lived around 2000 years ago died for all of our sins, and wants to tell the world that the same is risen and going to come back and take them to heaven before the world goes to pot(no pun intended) and would like you to come too, should be fed to hungry lions? Yeah Jokes... I heard of them before. Like, why do they arrest pot smokers? So the prison population smiles more... WTF? Smoking flowers is funny, arresting people for smoking flowers is wrong... do you get my drift.
