WARNING VIRUS BE AWARE

i have been having trouble with someones thread or something from this site causing all my security to dissapear. well i finaly cought the culprit. it is a member named kimboy100. he has a link to you tube video and when i just watched it alll my stuff was gone. dont know if it`s him or you tube. probably the later, they have probably tagged his illegal substance videoes. it has taken some of my software out so i have to reload every time. just thought everyone should know about this. if this has happened to anyone else let us know.

I'm not sure what is up with my 'puter. It seems like I have an anchor or something.
Everytime I make a post it takes so long that when it finally does something it says that i have double posted and I haven't.
A lot of times it just boots me offline.:confused:

I cant brag,,, I dont grow . (well when I'm excited one part does grow)

If anything ever did go down,, Im clean. My aerogarden is at a friends house .. and good luck getting the sac I have .. I'll eat that before I answer the door
 
I thought it was just me.This site is dragging along for me, and earlier, a worm came along while I was innocently sitting here...my av caught it before it could do any damage, be this was the only site that was up. The worm was called Worm/Mabezat.

hmmm. I'd like a little more technical information about this 'virus' being spread by rollitup and/or youtube. I find it hard to believe that youtube, owned by the Google, is responsible for ANY virus' being spread. I mean c'mon, the Google is the cutting edge of the internets.

It seems that your only evidence is that;

a. you visited the sites rollitup and/or youtube.
b. all your 'stuff' was gone.

correlation does not equal causation.
 
Here is a quick note, Viruses need to be stored in executables for them to do major damange to your computer, wmv, videos alike such as you tube streaming cant have viruses.

As far as us causing the problem, the only way you can get a virus when viewing pages is activex, sure there are javascript code cookies etc but nothing that will do any harm to ur pc.

sollution:

stop using internet explorer, use Firefox. It is much more secure because it doesn't have activex controls and it will warn you before you visit websites that could damage your computer. I have not had any infections since switching to Firefox (over five years).
 
i went and tried this 3 times in a row now and this is what happens. i`m not blaming anyone, it is probably a software gltch at either my end or somewere. ok when i click on his vid link and the vid starts to play my lower task bar dissapears then the icons come back on one at a time like it restarted but my norton dosn`t come back until i close vid and restart my system. then when i shut my system down or restart it there is a warning icon that flashes, it is to fast to read but it looks like it says something is missing. i dont know enough about that stuff all i know is i dont like something shuting down anything in my system or whatever it`s doing. i`m not blaming riu or google or you tube. there is no virus that i have found and my system runs fine other than that.
