Hello Rollitup, Ive been away for awhile but im back on the scene lol...:eyesmoke:

A friend told me about RDWC, and im interested, but have no clue what the make up of this setup will be.:dunce:

Im looking at buying a 3'x3' grow tent, which will hold 2x400 watt MH Lights, and some CFL's for side lighting.:blsmoke:

At the moment strain is undecided and not important, either is nutes because i have none....I just need a good explanation or links to research i can use to understand how to build and operate one of these setup.:wall:

Now....I'm not going large scale with this, like i said i want a 3'x3' tent with 2x400 watt MH, And was thinking about 2 plants Scrogged to fill the whole area :hump:....:weed:.

So ill only need im assuming 2 buckets to grow in,or tubs, whichever is easier....and 1 tub or bucket as a res....:?::?::?: Correct:?:

Now the rest im clueless on, And any information or help would be much appreciated :)

Thanks RIU,:peace:

yep 3 buckets. 2 for the plants and 1 for a res. 2 net pots and a little medium, clay balls work well. you want airstones for each bucket and a water pump to recirc the nutrient solution. thats about it as far as the system goes.

honestly though in a 3'x3' space i would just grow one plant. they grow fast so you would fill that space quick and it will be a lot more simple to begin with

2 of these W

ould be a good way too get your feet Wet.Then when ya get more space can add more.Very easy to make them.

Thanks for the response guys :)

OK, so i like these lil' bucket things here beech, and yes i was planning on two plants, scrog style.

So this looks like 2 buckets together, with a pipe ring around the base of the plant, right?

this what I use and this is my current grow its an RDWC and works awesome:

I can use more than one plant but if you top it gets so bushy and big and for my space 6 feet high, 3 feet deep, and 4 feet wide.

My first grow BCN Diesel, lady took up my entire cap and came out to 2.5oz dried.

I use a 400w MH for veg and a 400w HPS for flower, I have a digital conversion ballast so I can do 250w, 275w, 400w, or 430w if I like.

can you post pics of your system, so i can see whats going on there? I need to see whats in it to see how to build it :)

a 5 gal bucket with a 19mm elbow and rubber grommet in the bottom for a drain tube.

clear pipe for res level viewing window optional

P9280072.jpg

simply turn the drain tube to empty

P9280071.jpg

a smaller size bucket with holes drilled in. big enough to let roots through not so big hydroton comes through. and a larger hole for your pipe

P9280073.jpg

your 20mm pipe will go through like this

P9280075.jpg

P9280076.jpg

small bucket sits inside big bucket like so

P9280077.jpg

drip ring looks like this. 8mm tube as long as your combined buckets are deep with a small hole about an inch or 2 above the bottom. insert a 4mm airline into that hole and put a T connector on the other end

P9280078.jpg

this then slides down the tube. i also have an extra airline for an airstone in the res

P9280079.jpg

bend another piece of tube around to make a ring and drill small holes all around for the water to come out. (preferably dont use clear tubing it will get algae etc but i cover my whole bucket with reflective material anyway so they dont see light.

thats it completed waterfarm in 10 mins

Awesome man, Thanks alot, now i get it lol....

now there is a water pump in the bottom of this black bucket? Correct?

That hooks up to the small black lines pumping water to the ring? Correct?

I have an Aero-Cloner, homemade...and this is basically the same thing, the black bucket is the tub, the white one is the lid holding the net cup? Correct?

oh sorry i will explain. there is no water pump.

just an air pump that connects to the black line. air is pumped into the tube and the air bubbles then travel up the tube carrying water with them and forcing it out of the drip ring. works really well actually.

most people just buy the drip ring part that comes from the gh waterfarms but i find they are just as easy to make.

i think this is what you were wondering. this is where the airline comes into the tube at the bottom. i simply cut a little hole about 1 to 2 inches from the bottom of the tube and the air hose simply gets stuck into this hole.

you can see how wet that hydration is in the background so it gives you an idea of how well this system works.

plus because the air bubbles only pick up surface water and carry it up the tube and surface water is where the highest levels of dissolved oxygen is found your plants are getting the highest d/o content fed to the root zone.

here is a another shot of the whole drip ring assembly

P9290137.jpg

you can also see i have another airline running down the orange pipe in the background. there is an airstone on that one in the res.

they are both powered by this dual outlet airpump

one plant in these systems can easily yield you a lb of great smoko

veg'd for 6 weeks and in 5th week of flower now. i can't even get the whole plant into frame its so big lol
