I want to know how to get the biggest yield out of 24 plants in a space 18'X18' with 12 T5 high output 8 bulb at about 2-3'' away from the plants.I will have either blueberry or mango clones and a max of two months veg.The nutrients I will be using will be Advanced sensi grow, conniseur bloom, and the rest of the nurients advanced has.15-25 gallon buckets with spaghnum peat moss?any help please

Yield is my specialty. I hit 2.5 per light on the reg so I think I'm quilified to answer your question. First, do you gotta use the T5's or can you switch to HID's. I only use the flo's for cloning and seeds, thats it. I've heard you can do it but I know 1-1000 can give you 2 lbs if you get it all right. I wouldn't use that conni either. It ain't all that its cracked up to be and the price is rediculous. Go with their regular 2 part bloom formula along with the rest of the series, including the Piranha and Tarantula, and Scorpion juice. Peats a good grow medium but its not the key to big yields. Light and fresh air! Is this your first time growing or do you have some experience already?

I wanted to go with T5's because they cant be detected by the IR cameras and because I will get more lumens than the 1000 watt because of how close I can place the T5's.How many trees do you have under each light and how long do you veg them? Also what method do you use to get the 2 pounds. It is not my first time.

I don't know about the 2 lb mehtod, but from what ive read and experimented with, plants under T5's don't get the proper color range for flowering. HPS are the way to go in my opinion.

you wont get the light penitration you need to get dense buds with the t5s ergo no massive yeilds even with all the advanced nuts im willing to bet, it will b nice bud just wont get the same yeild as hps.

Photosynthesis rates peak at 435 nm and 680 nm. A 6500K T5 lamp has a spectral distribution with relative intensity peaks at 435 nm and 615 nm. This equates to very little wasted light energy in terms of plant growth. If I LST then i wont have problems with light penetration.can anyone with experience with T5's please help me?

how much should i expect to get from a 600 HPS
I'm not qualified, but for 600w you should get 300-400g if done right. If done perfect, 600g.

For 28 plants, you should look into 1000w lights. 2) 600w would be ideal. 4 plants wide by 7 plants long. You also should have plenty of room to run 1-2 4 bulb T5's for a nice perpetual harvesting operation.:leaf:

Also, im pretty sure that dual 600w lamps will use less watts than 5000w of Florecents.

i want big yield, but fantastic quality. i've learned on bag seed, but now i need to grow some good stuff. i need it to pruduce fast and stay low. i have thought of lowrider kush ak-47, sweet tooth, sweetgod, the purps, grapefruit diesel. what is best w/ 1000 w hps, hydroton, power flower in a bubbler tray?

This is the best thing I've seen all day, might quote this for my signature!
Actually, the heat produced by an electric appliance is generally correlated to how much electricity it uses. Thus, more watts used up, more heat produced. As for getting more lumens.... Just the opposite, your T5s put out what? 5000 lumens? Get 100 of those and you still have 5000 lumens peak light intensity. That 1kW HPS will produce 100,000+ lumens easy.

If the biggest yield is what you're after you've got to use HIDs to get it. People don't use HIDs just because they want to blind themselves. They use HIDs because there's just no comparison.

Also, you might want to check your local laws but I haven't heard of anyplace that allows warrants based on infrared camera pictures. They've got to catch you some other way or their warrant is as good as toilet paper.

I like T5's, though. But I know I won't get the biggest possible yields that way. You're on track to get good yields though. Just read, read, read. Check out scrogging too.

Then I will go with the Hortilux 1000's it wont be the first time.I just wanted to try and avoid the IR cameras. The cops just keep busting people down here,150 houses in one day.

bro the last of your worrys should be IR cameras,In my opinion where the USA is right now in terms of economy, energy, and war the rsources are directed to higher government needs than finding your grow. I would worry more about getting the ventalation and proper scrobber for that grow. The nosy ass neighbor smelling that funk is what is more likely to get your ass snagged. It is funny how people go nutts over the chopper, man if they send a chopper over your crib you have already slipt months ago and its over. But on the reall i use a T5 to veg and love it, but if its maxin out your yield that concerns you its HID that you want.
