Walmart Car Windshield Reflectors

I see people using those in a lot of PC Grow boxes.

Are those made of Mylar or are they a type of foil?
Im afraid of creating heat spots.

I like the divited nature of them as I am trying to make a reflector and mylar is just flat.

Maybe crinkled up Mylar will work good? anyone have any thoughts?

Wish mylar was not so noisy in the fans.

Well I called the company who and they said its made of mylar, guess it will make a good reflector.

THe only thing that scares me is that it says on their website they reflect heat... but I guess regular mylar would do that too right?

You can buy that same material they use for making those reflectors from Home Depot. They sell it in rolls and kits for extra insulating hot water tanks.

I only have a Lowes in my area and I will check it out.

I am not against lining my cab with these since its mylar. Maybe the pad underneath will improve sound dampening.

Id go buy some from lowes/home depot but these things are only like 3-5 dollars at walmart depending on the "Pattern" you want.. ie crinkled or uhmm checkered sort of. Its really the size for the window but they were similarly priced.

My biggest concern is that I fry my plants reflecting heat with these things when I make a batwing reflector out of it.
