Wow! I am really surprised by this. It's not just growlights - they sell a whole range of hydroponic gear. Nutes, fans, tents - the whole "Nine Yards"! I hear about a lot of people that don't have a hydro shop in thier area, but everybody in the US has a Wal-Mart, don't they?

And if you buy from walmart, you will never have a hydro store.

But hey, screw it, save a penny and they take ebt, right?!

If you buy things from wallmart you deserve te piece of garbage hood that you get.

I never understand why people are cheap fuckers when it comes to hoods.

No wait, hoods are not that important really, they only reflect the light down to your plants. Get the cheapest hood and bulb you can find and spend all your money on additives from AN.

LMAO this was funny. I never really understood why people wasted the money on hoods at all. However I am guilty of buying cheap Ipower Super Hps bulbs from amazon for 20 bucks.

Hydro stores are a very quaint throwback to a time when retailers lived in our communities and cared about the products they sold. They're knowledgeable, friendly and apperiative of your business. It's getting harder and harder to find these kinds of stores as the Targets and WalMarts roll into town after town. Personally I try very hard to shop locally whenever possible. If my local merchants don't have what I'm looking for, I'll go online to find another small, specialty retailer to give my money to. I cringe on the very VERY rare occasion I find myself within the depressing, florescent lite walls of a corporate owned big box store.

Some people don't live near hydro stores but many do. If you have a store full of arrogant pricks (like most stores 7 years ago) then just buy online.

But as stated above, hydro store owners are just trying to make a living and pay a shit load of local taxes to fund infrastructure that you use everyday.

The biggest thing though, if something breaks you walk in with the broken part and walk out with another. Try replacing your Chinese POS I power ballast in a single afternoon. Not going to happen.

Spread the money around, trust me the hydro stores are doing a lot more to make weed legal than wallmart ever will. Besides, wall mart? Really?

The only thing wallmart is good for is visiting when your down on your luck and feeling depressed. I guarantee after about 10 minutes in the store you will say to yourself "man, I have it pretty fucking good"

Hey man, from my experience, ipower makes a good bulb! Ain't no hortilux, but its a lot better than youd expect from the price.

You can get horti bulbs for $60 these days. I have tried many bulbs and the horti simply rock. Never ran ipower but if you don't have the cash for horti, sounds like a good option.

I have heard MANY bad reviews of their ballasts though

Oh yeah. But im not a fan of ballast that arent sealed. Maybe im just a Solis Tec fanboy. lol
I run the ipower bulbs for the first 6 months on the 600 setting. then on the final 6 months i turn up the solis boost (5%).
