thank you Nutria (:

another question I have:
people complain about the blue light of the vipar spectra and say it is not red enough.. but when I look at a quantum board grow, there is no visible red light at all. How comes this?

Because the HLG quantum boards represent the next best thing to the sun !!

Hi,

unfortunately I cannot yet post links but I think I read it on a Swiss Forum. I will look it up later, if I feel like it.

So far I havent looked at the QB grows here.. I tried to check out the grows in the forum yesterday looking for viparspectra grows but I feel it is very unorganized. People dont put Lamps in the Threadnames etc. ... how can I find them?

Maybe you could link me 1 or 2 quantum board grows? It would be very nice

Thank you

@Ryante55: Hi, what do you mean? What do you know, would you like to share it with me/us? Thank you if you decide you want to
Check out YouTube growau5 and greengenes gardens if your reasearch led you to viparspectra you need to do 20x more research you haven't really done anything but read advertising if you even consider growing with viparspectra. One of the few people praising them vegged a tiny plant for 4 months...I could get 3 grows done for every 1 of his don't listen to people like that

i dont think it is right..
just put "best grow light" into google and the first 2 pages will all mention vipar spectra except they concentrate on high price range only. I even checked out people measuring the PAR output at youtube and the actual wattage used before buying my first.

I also read and watched many comparisons of viparspectra with marshydro and meihzi etc they all say the same thing.. basically.
I will check out gowau5 and greengenes, thank you.

ps just to be clear, I am pretty convinced that quantum boards are the next big thing and i will use the money i make to invest in them as soon as I can, dont get me wrong please

Viparspectra is a paperweight. What par meter did the use? I promise the ppfd is extremely low with a really small footprint

There's actually more red in the quantum board you just get all the other colors as a bonus. with viparspectra you get about half the light output per watt so say you are using 300 real watts of viparspectra you could get the same or better results with 150w of quantum boards

Next big thing? Well they have been the best for a couple years so Im not really sure what your waiting for if you can buy a viparspectra you can buy a quantum board... You don't have to buy shit lights first you can just start with the good ones

Another thing I am curious about.. why do you people (almost everyone I see on here) prefer big plants to many small ones? I mean.. to get so many buds on an even level you need to veg much longer, dont you?
Some of us are legal (not me) and thus to remain legal have a plant limit to stick to.
Some of us are illegal (me) and thus the punishment should we be caught is relative to the plant count.

I can get caught with 4 plants and it be deemed personal. But i could grow the same amount a bit faster with 28 plants and be deemed a drug dealer without actually owning scales or selling any weed.

No one here has the best bud unless you’re growing in hydro.
Im not sure where you are getting your misinformation but its never been said that hydro is better than any other medium and its certainly not better than organic living soil.

but if you put: best grow lights 2018 into google, there is no mention of them anywhere (other then ViparSpectra which can be found in almost all top10 lists and I personally can not believe they are all paid...
All those pages are designed to send traffic to amazon. Notice they dont send you anywhere but amazon. They are made up nonsence. All they have to do is pay google and they come up in the top of the search quiery.

other things I found about the quantum boards are that people use them only for veg.. others say they get 2grams per watt. But how many quantum boards in how many different colours do I need to fill out 1m²? I dont know.. I am no expert on lighting or growing but I have the feeling there is some catch to it. I will keep researching and maybe I will soon replace my 2 ViparSpectra 600W reflectors for my 2m² grow with quantum boards but for now I am not convinced. Makes me skeptical that nobody offers these lights...
Plenty of people offer these lights. They are available world wide. They are available on amazon too.

You only need one colour. They are white light. White contains all colours across the spectrum. Some may use specifically higher blue becasue they have a dedicated veg space. Some may use higher reds like 3000k becasue they have dedicated flower spaces. But either will grow better than blurple for both stages of growth.
There is no catch to it unlike vipar spectra or mars hydro. The wattage they list is the actual draw, the output they list is sphere tested, the area they claim to light up is the area they light up.

very nice plant, the second.

Maybe you could tell me how long the hole grow of the plant in the second picture took? From seed/clone to harvest?

Thank you :)

(i cannot requote with the links so I deleted them)
Plant count for one thing - my state limits plant count to 4. So if I want to stay legal I can't do a SOG style grow.

As to Veg time, well - it depends. That particular plant vegged for 63 days (and most would consider that a long time), but that was because I topped it multiple times to do a "mainline". I had another clone that came out of the cloner a few days after that one, which I did no training on at all in Veg - it vegged for only 25 days:

The yield was similar, but as you can see, the mainlined plant had much more uniform sized buds.

The viparspectra 300W (actually half that) is a decent light for veg. I've used it to veg clones in a 3x3 tent and it rocked the house.

Although it's not a great light, it can be used successfully in the right application. I.E. there's a lot of Kia's driving around on the roads these days... Personally I don't care for them, but there's enough people out there who find it as a vehicle that satisfies their needs.. make sense?
