Very slow seedling growth in nearly perfect setup??

Hey guys got some updates :) Got my 400 m3/h fan, and a cool tube which stabilized my temperatures (I highly suggest cool tube for anyone using HID) at 79-80 degrees 12" from plants. It used to be 91 at 18" with tent closed so had to keep it open to stabilize around 80. Also finally got a ph tester kit, saying my tap alone is 8+ph which explains the slow growth and later signs of nute deficiency. With bottled water and my nutes in it ph is around 6.2, so I will try mixing my nutes with my tap water and see if it'd be closer to 7; If that doesn't work, ill start playing around with mixing bottled and tap water with nutes to get ideal ph range. Ill update you guys on the solution. The positive thing is that the seedling has grown a bit and is green again (tuned yellow a couple of days ago) after giving it bottled water mixed with 1/4 strength nutes (sensi grow A+B and B52). Still think my soil is crap tho.. would it be safe to use a new type of soil when transplant is required or would the difference in soils and ph screw up nute uptake? Ill start a grow journal in a couple of weeks when the plants have grown a bit more and it gets more interesting for the readers. cheers guys bongsmilie

forgot to mention, due to having better air change in the tent (new fan) and the cool tube getting arid of the heat/drying effect of the MH, I got my humidity to 30-35 :P

ive looked at the cool tubes, never got one tho. They seem to be really good for small spaces. How big is the footprint say at 2.5 feet? Good luck man, sounds like your going in the right direction with the water, ph and nutes. Now just upgrade to some nice soil with extra perlite, and vermiculite and your plants will love u!!

My tent is 2.9 x 2.9 x 6ft and the cool tube alone changed my temps by 12 degrees f (91 to 79) which is huge just for a glass tube :P Honestly for this grow since I have so much left of this soil, I might do like 60-75% verm/perlite and rest soil, and upgrade soils for my next one..
