I don't know shit about turkey roasting bags, it's true. I cure in glass, less than a pound at a time. I just googled turkey bags to get a price and it was all over the place, so I picked a range; so sue me if it's at the gold-plated end of the scale..

It's still impractical, tending 800 individual bags while the cure goes on, opening closing, moving the contents around. etc. I doubt anyone who has that much fresh dope cures it at all, which is why I pointed out 420god's post as sensible.

Hey, he could put it in a swimming pool and 'water-cure' it, lol

The grocery store sells a 5 pack of them for a few bucks. My local hydro store sells a 25 pack for $14. Probably they're much cheaper when you buy hundreds of them.

You're really going to be storing 800 lbs in your house? I assumed you were going to be way out in the hills somewhere and would have some sort of barn or big shed that you'd be working in.

Yeah, I agree that curing 800lbs sounds like a nightmare. That alone would be a full time job. I was just offering the bags as a cheaper way than a bunch of jars - if he insists on doing it.

I still think the OP ought to consider getting a few somewhat smaller grows under his belt before trying something so huge. Just my opinion.

i cant even imagine what 800lbs of fresh bud would smell like. idc what kinda ventilation setup you have that will put off some SERIOUS fumes

im going to post a grow journal on this massive grow when the outdoor season comes around. right now im growing a couple bagseed plants and there doing great. just had to transplant one that i thought would be okay in the pot it was in but i was wrong. i lifted up the pot today and the roots where coming out of the bottom. im a week into flowering how bad will this affect my plant

I've never dried/cured more than a QP at a time, but for smell's sake I almost want to suggest some kind of carbon scrubber network exhaust set up. Basically, have your drying room (drying house is more like it?) and have it all in a room with negative pressure. Your exhaust fan would pull the air out of the room through the carbon, then maybe before you exhaust the air out of your house entirely maybe have another fan with another carbon scrubber that it blows out of?

I think you should modify your plan by not documenting it online like you say you will.

But it really doesn't matter, there's no way your gonna pull that off. (not being pessimistic, just realistic)

And to answer the question. Why don't you just dry it and cure it the same way you did for the "500 lb grow".

I call bullshit 2 if you dont have average grow knowledge of drying/curing/Roots coming out the bottom of your pot aka Need to Transplant then you sure the fuck arent growing 500 pounds

So let me get this straight........... you have already in a past grow grew 500 lbs and everything was fine and dandy and you figured out how to dry and cure that just fine. But now you are shooting for 800 lbs and you have no idea on what you are going to do ? seriously..............?......


Reasons why 99% of us think you are 100% full of shit(dont take it personal).
1. If you can figure out how to deal with 500 lbs..... 800 isn't going to be a problem.
2. As already stated if you grew 500 lbs you should have a good amount of $ stashed away and you could hire a engineer to figure out something for this little problem you have here. Unless you blew it on hookers and cocaine which I don't doubt it if you are silly enough to grow 500lbs
3. I would love to know your location( region of the world) you are in where you can grow that much outdoors w/o gaining some sort of authorities attention.
4. this whole idea that you have here just sounds crazy and for you to be plastering this all over a public form where the whole WORLD can see this idea is just ........well.............. crazy in soo many levels.

wether he is talking bullshit or not i will answer the original question.

curing is not needed, so long as it is dried properly it will smoke just fine.
if you do wish to cure that amount you need to go to a storage facility and buy a load of cardboard boxes from them, make sure the weed is dry then pack it in lightly, but make sure the box is FULL.
you will not need to burp the boxes as they will slowly breathe.

this will work but it is a waste of time imo, just dry it properly.
