I am going to buy a clone today and just put it in soil. What type of fertilizer,vitamins, and food should i use?

I would highly recommend you go 100% organic.
Which means you need 100% organic soil as well as 100% organic nutrients/supplements.
If I were you? I would look into getting the 'General Organics' brand. I got their 'Go Box' (not grow box like you think it would be called).. which came with everything I could possibly need and then some. I got the entire box of nutrients and supplements for under $40.00 man. They're all 100% organic too!
Just a suggestion.. good luck with whatever you chose to go with.

Well we have home depot and lowes out here. i dont know the brand names. but i live in Cali if that helps.

Well then, I suggest mixing some spagnum peat moss and perlite at about 60/40 for your soil mix. Im not sure of the nutes at those places, but keep it simple. Something high in N to veg for a few weeks and another low in N and high in P/K for flowering. Just continue to use veg nutes for a week or two after you see buds then switch.

LOL N-P-K Essential elements. Nitrogen, phosphate and potash(potassium). You really need to spend a few DAYS reading around the forums. All this is explained a thousand times on here. I spend hours researching and if I cant find my answer, then I will ask. But to make it really simple if you need nutes today, just remember, high N for veg and low N for flower.
