I just clicked on an image, and the pics were linked to an outside site, on the bottom it showed my facebook profile and my name/pic. Is anyone aware of this, and am I the only one who can see my facebook profile at suce a site. The pics I clicked on were not from facebook, I really don't like the way these sites try to tie everything together for you, sometimes it isn't very convenient. Can a mod please send me a pm to discuss this thanks in advance.

You can change the settings in your Facebook profile I believe. Under your privacy settings there's something about sharing your info with partnering sites. It's automatically enabled unless you disable it yourself. Pretty tricky on their part.

Facebook is an evil data mining site. People willingly provide information about themselves and what they do so the Govt. can one stop shop for information from that site...and facebook is trying its damned best to be connected to everything.

Yeah I went through all that over a month ago and tightened it up, I now know why people are pissed off and telling facebook to fuck off.

damn if you posted pics an stuff facebook has your name etc etc can they link ip address with your name to know your home address ?????????

did you use a camera phone ???

if so it could be putting that info in the exif data

I did not post said pics, these were pics I clicked on of someone elses, I use a private host for any pics.

hey purple can you explain what you did for this to happen ? i mean i sorta get ya and i wanna avoid this like were you just viewing someone elses photos or something . how is FB linked to here? thanks
