Define "too much light" lostNug... (just curious of lumens/par lumens/etc)

No bulb can come close to comparing with the light spectrum the sun puts off, so a bulb producing "too much light" is non-existent IMO

I don't have the exact specs but I can email thomas from advanced tech and have him give me some some more details about it. U can give a plant to much light. Like for example if u take a 1000w and put it in a 2x2 area. Even if you control the heat ur providing way more light then the actual plant needs. The plant will still grow but most likely show strain from too much light. It has to do with the inverse sqaure law. Im not a physicist so can't explain it too well but my dad is a quantan physics engineer so ill talk to him about it and see if he can break it down for me better. Let u guys know what I find out

i know about that, but it doesnt really apply to a low wattage light like 400w that is like for a 1000w if u could put it closer than like 6" the amount of PAR is too much for the plant

i did another feeding today the plants are super thristy right now its crazy i should have fed 2 days ago but i was lagging. very busy lately with my new 59k watt setup im building out :) also trying to get my other 20k up and running in my other journal. anyway the buds are starting to get bigger and frosty. i think the aptus buds are frostier than the HG ones honestly. i labeled the pictures check i out. these looks similar, but on the overall plant more aptus buds are frosted than the HG. i will not however there is a bit of an issue with the aptus plants with lower fan leaves browning and dying i am diagnosing the issue now i am thinking a PH issue because i have been playing around with that to see what they like better. we will see if it improves. anyway here are the pictures!
o ya and those pictures are taken with my Droid Bionic :) I LOVE THIS PHONE!

well finished trimming up aptus plant #1 looks great as far as tricome content and smell is super strong. Only issue is very airy buds, but that was an issue with all 4 plants i attibute that to the size of the plants was much too large for the light, very low co2 levels since i didnt have an air exchange going in that room for most of the grow, and for the last few weeks the plants were somewhat neglected due to my larger projects i have going on right now. But since they were all under same conditions i still think the results should show which nutrient will yield more, as far as bag appeal they are both just about even.
