3 x??? I thought only 1 vero 120 Watt can replace 250 Watt why i need 3x? Too much Money for me!
I feel your pain, as they say. This is a frustrating place for the average small grower on a budget to be, because the manufacturers make claims about what the light can do, and then very knowledgeable growers contradict those claims. When you read the manufacturers website its seems reasonable and affordable, when you read the threads about actual light spread and intensity and optimal levels, and then redo the math, it becomes ridiculously expensive. I want the best quality I can get, but I'm not profiting from the outcome and can't justify limitless spending.

Of course, the whole thing is a big gray area. At the manufacturers recommended footprint, plants will grow, just nothing record breaking. If it is for personal use, depending on your needs the quantity you get could be completely sufficient. It is my understanding that more light will yield more quantity, but not necessarily better quality (unless bud density is considered a factor of quality). Previously when I had this discussion with some knowledgeable people, they seemed to concur that quality would be similar for instance between one plant grown under an Optic 120w vs one under an Optic 200w (quality defined primarily by potency and smoking characteristics). The 200 would have more penetration and more intensity, which would improve yields -- as in bud size, density, and quantity. So consider your needs, enough might be enough.

The optic line up will definitely fit the average indoor Internet-based first time grower or non DIY just fine. If you catch the cob sickness you will see gaps here and there you can fill easily and pretty soon your normal is nowhere near the manufacturer recommended footprint.

Optic is sending a 500watt Vero29 3000K 80 and want a 4x4 flower run done with it. I think its gonna be more like a 3ft6 x 4ft flower unit at 24in. There using Meanwell NPF 120 42 @2.9 so I am expecting a Beast.
Gonna have 4 Nice ET CottonCandyCanes ready and start middle Sept.

I still think the sweet spot for that case is going to be a 3 by 3 internally probably going to be a beast like you're saying

I'm finding that my 120's are running hot. I'm reminded of kids burning ants under magnifying glasses... but I don't know the physics of light and heat or whether that is actually contributing to the temperature at canopy level (which is where I keep my sensor, in this case laying flat on the top of the scrog, since the plants are still in training and beneath the strings at this point).

I havnt found that one runs hotter than the other, but having to keep it closer def raises the canopy temp.

Was told last night that 200watt CXB3590 3000K 80Cri "CB" 30G Newest Production Indoor Horticulture Fixtures will be delivered 9/1 or 9/2. Preorders will start then Live ordering soon thereafter. 4000K CB 40G TopBin Cree Emitters will also be an option for the full cycle guys/gals out there.
A 240watt Vero29 will also be an option in 3000K and 4000K. Meanwell HLG / Ledil "STELLA" optics/ Cooliance "coolstrate coolers" will be standard on all units. The company really wanted a 400/480 and might be added later on,but the 200/240watt fixtures in (14in x17in case) can be used in all different combination areas. Multiple smaller wattage fixtures are better for light output control. These fixtures are Handbuilt in CaliforniaUSA and all componets used are of the highest quality from around the world.
Fixtures have dimming/daisychain capabilities also!
Pictures/Website/#s Coming Soon
Built By Growers for Growers!
Truth/Transparency/ Support will be TopPriority!

Which company is releasing these new lights?
I cant say until I receive the fixture. I can say the website is built and The company is also new. I was told I could talk about it but he doesn't want the fixtures cloned before he releases them. 9/1 or 9/2. I will call him to double check, again ,but Ive tried many times already

He thinks someone will clone his light in 12 days and beat him to the market? Now is the time to start showing it off and build interest.

Thanks for the info. Priced much higher than the comparable models coming from other manufacturers. Hope there's something special about them.
