vermiculite and perilite

Would a 50/50 mix vermiculite/perilite in a regular plant pot grow okay cannabis indoors?

i say no, because their would nothing for the plants roots to grab onto unless it is a hydro grow.

yes it will, but you have to add ALL of the nutrients, simply because there is no soil to provide it, this method of growing is called a hempy bucket.

it is actualy a great growing medium because of its balanced PH, 50/50 mix is what it use for my hempy buckets.

search "hempy bucket" and you will get all the info you want and more, personaly i love them

i start my clones in:
1 part perlite
1 part sphagnum peat moss
1/2 part vermiculite.
they love it!
you do have to make sure nutrient levels are kept up though.
mix some soil in and you will have a great medium for all plants!

Good medium imo.

The peat moss probably aids in moisture retention. Id bet it gives you a tad more lee-way when watering time comes.

Half perlite, half vermiculite will drain so fast! Careful of getting too dry. That mix sounds almost like a hydro medium .

yeah the jiffy mix has some moss in it so it should work fine. I know it is a hydro set up but you can use it in single containers with no hydro equipment as well I just dont know if i can use regular miracle gro and bloom burst fertilizers instead of hydro nutrients.

I was just reading an article in skunk mag(I think). They recomended 3 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite instead of the half and half I always see here on the net. You can use this in hempy buckets or drain to waist just like soil. Either way it should be a good simple hydro medium.

I just re read the article it was 3 parts verm. to 1 part perl. not as I stated above.
