Since Halloween is upon us tomorrow I thought this would be a good time
to hear your true ghost story(s) that has happened to you and/or someone close to you.

I have several but I'll start out with just these...

When I was a kid, there was these two story town houses across from each other
with a court yard in the middle and my buds and I would hear stories of one of the town
houses that was haunted. Families would move into it and would not last but a few months
in this particular one so me and a couple of my buds decided to inspect the town house to
see if there was any truth to the matter. This time, this town house has been vacant for 3-4
months nobody wanting to move in due to disclosure?
Anyhow, when we had stepped inside there
was just a small crate on the living room floor so we decided to check upstairs (2nd floor) where the
bedrooms and bathroom were so we thought. We started walking up the flight of stairs and once we
got close to the top there was what looked to be a closet door and paths leading to the left and right to
the bedrooms etc.. when all the sudden coming from the closed closet was this loud scary very deep thundress voice
screaming "LET ME OOOUT!!" with the door banging as if someone was holding the inside door handle shaking
it very violently trying to get out. Needless to say, my buds and I freaked and ran back downstairs out the backdoor
and up the walkway leading out to the sidewalk and street stood there breathless. Something I will never forget.

Another time, as a kid I was kickin' with a girl friend of mine in her living room two houses over and it was night
when we heard a distinct moaning noise coming from her semi dark unlit kitchen so we decided to see what was going
on so when we stepped into the kitchen and we seen her dead grandma sitting on top of the fridge we freaked ran out
and my girl friend was in tears big time over what just happened.

Anyone have a story to share?

Not necessarily a ghost story. But in my teens me and some mates use to hang in a cemetery smoking and drinking out of the way of the police. One night we decided to walk to the chippie for some food. This cemetery was actually two cemeteries divided by a long road that practically no cars used. Anyway half way down the road i realised i had left my bike. I said i would catch up with my mates once i got it from our hangout bit in the graveyard. I duly walked back up the hill jumped over a low wall and bent down to get the bike. I was just about to sling the bike back over, when i seen the image of a man with black trousers and a black cowl, he was bare chested but held infront of him a large silver crucifix and was muttering away. My heart nearly stopped, but i knew to get back to my mates i had to go round him. He never seemed to take any notice of me and continued to walk down the hill. I jumped the wall got on the bike, and gave him the widest berth possible. Now I'm pretty sure it wasn't a ghost but it was a hell of a strange experience.

That was just a crackhead. We have a lot of those in the states, they can be scary...

I will be honest and say we must have used that place a thousand times in our youth, but not before and ever again did i see that man. It was not an apparition. He was as solid as you or i. As i cycled past him i kept total focus on him to make sure he didn't try anything. He just ignored me. Must have been someone with psychological issues.

When my grandmother died her sisters (in their 90s) came to bury her. That night, in her house, was wild. I spent my life in science and medicine and have seen many people pass, including my father. There is something that happens but I'm not sure what it means.

That's a reason I always appreciated Dia de los Muertos. It is good to contemplate our transitions.

You know we're celebrating it now, they just did a parade on the river down here. Watching it now.
