Venturi or Airstones?

Hey guys, I'm getting back into organic hydroponics with an ebb and flow system with a 20 gallon reservoir.

Would a venturi be better than air stones?

I'm just thinking it's one less thing I need to scrub, and air stones do get clogged.

It doesn't matter how you roil the surface, just that you do, and the more the surface is roiled, the more aerated the soup. So if your powerhead sucks some air and blows some bubbles, it will roil the surface. If your submerged pump points at the surface, that will aerate. The bubbles from an airstone or tube are just to look pretty in an aquarium, the breaking up of the surface is the important aeration part.
