Venting into the space between my roof and my ceiling. Yay or Nay?

Im probably asking this question a little late since i already did it.... Im just curious to see if anyone else has done this and had something horrible happen.

but im venting my 3x3 tent (located in 3rd floor bedroom of townhouse) into about a 1.5ft high crawl space between the bedroom ceiling and my roof, i geuss its sort of like an attic but you just cant access it, theres just some wiring for overhead lights up there.

im pushing a 4" duct from my 600w cool tube, and a 6" duct of tent exhuast which is first pulled thru a 6" carbon scrubber, so my question is... any downsides here? im not trying to fuck up my roof.

and theres a few other vents on the roof i assume the air eventually escapes through. in the odd case of some sort of FLIR scan this wouldnt look sketch would it? i mean its only a 600w hps and its not on at night, only the daytime.

so far it seemed like the perfect solution for me, when i vented back out to the bedroom my temps were around 86 but now Ive had them down around 79.

IT all depends on how well vented your attic area is.

If its not vented very well then you could end up with mould issues from the Extra humidity being pushed up there from your grow room.

I personally have put extra soffit vents all along my soffit boards of my house as i exhaust my carbon filter straight into my attic area. The lighting system fan exhausts straight into my chimney stack.

Any updates?
I'm also thinking of doing this coz recirculating the hot air in the room raises the temp too much.
Also, you think I can do away with a scrubber if I vent to the ceiling? Removing the extra restriction will really help my temps without having to buy a bigger fan

getting rid of the carbon filter is very risky yes your room will be a couple of degrees cooler but the street will stink.

I exhaust my 4x2x8 into my attic with no issues. The attic has like 3 vents so humidity isn't an issue. I orginally ran ducting from the exhaust fan to one of the vents but lost too much cfm from all the ducting so just decided to run straight into the attic. So As long as you know that the crawl space is vented ur good to go. U could even put a small fan up there for better circulation.

U have no reason to worry about FLIR. 600 w isn't gna be noticeble and the cops ain't lookin for a 3x3 grow. More like full grow houses

been succesfully doing this for a few months now with no problems thus far, i still use a scrubber though, i vent both the hot air from my cool tube and filtered air from inside my tent into the space above ceiling. keeps it nice and cool inside the tent and my bedroom.

Do you use a scrubber/carbon filter?
