Venting 1000W and 600W HPS Hoods

the only issue i may have with fans like that is durability, they get a lil dirty and you will need to lube them up, i use 424cfm fans to cool 3 600, but that 1000watter is a monster to cool, you may be better off for a $100 and get a 6inch 424 fan from HTG. the best way to set that up is fresh air->fan->ducting->hoods->outside room

OK, I see that you recommend the fan blows air onto the lights. I've heard that more air moves through if the fan sucks the air through the lights and blows it out. Any comments on this?

I dont think it really matters if you blow or suck the air through as long as you doing it brother.... just what ive got from reading... just my 2cents

Sucking effect has worked better for me.. fresh air > ducting > hood > insulated ducting > fan> outside

This is how I did it..

Thanks for the help guys.

I have noticed recently that the room has a good bit of negative pressure because the exhaust fan is a huge 12" can fan. I was thinking that I could cut holes in the plastic wall of the room, and lead ducting from outside the grow room (which is spare bedroom) in through the lights. That would solve the negative pressure problem and the light heat problem right? I would certainly put a filter on each side and figure something out for light.
