Ventilation! Help please

Hey need a some ventilation help. Here is the run down, two tents, one so far has 8" fan and filter great negative pressure which is good no leakage. Second tent no fan or filter yet going to pick up this week. Thinking, should I get another 8" fan and filter or 6" fan or filter. CFM rating ball park, 8" 800 cfm 6" 500 cfm both tent 4x4x7. Here is the hard part would like to vent to attic but don't want back pressure which would be bad. So should I get another 8" to suck are from both tent with "Y" connector or should I go larger.
If u don't understand what I mean or I just sound stupid please tell me I will try to clarify.

I was just looking up some info and I do know Well I think I know for duct size to push the air from the y I would need to increase the duct size. But if I put a fan would I have to ?

Backpressure? your gonna pull a vacuum with a 6 inch centrifugal fan in a 4x4 tent........

Venting to attic = :(

Venting directly outside = :-)

Wait a sec I think I know what you mean now.

yeah.....I mean it would cause a little resistance, not a big deal if you used a 6 inch fan and a 8 inch fan, to a Y and then open vent at the end. (wait actually the 8 would potentially help the 6 in the Y collector, believe this is called scavenging)

Depending on your setup you may be able to get by with two tents and just use that one 8 inch fan.

One 8" should be fine, but you could also add a 6" booster fan to each tent ( intake). but still have negative pressure.

Here is what I mean.
So far i only have 8" fan I am thinking about picking up two 6" fan and carbon Filter.

Yeah except the Y would look something like this......(quick google search, not recommending this or anything)

Anyways, unless your having heat problems, that fan should work for both rooms.

Its friggin massive for one 4x4 tent imho.

NICE NICE thats is good info right there. That is much better then a normal Y connector. Thank you. I hate the smell It actually makes me feel sicks for some weird reason. anyways YES!!!! thank you Great Link. Ordering it today.

No Heat Problems just hate smell Leak and would hate for smell to leak out lol... Fan on 24/7 make temps in veg tent consent does not change at all very stable. For Flower not sure yet but i think temp drop light off will be good to try bring out the color... well hopefully i can have a journal up soon. Just got to get them two fan and carbon filter now. IF anyone have any other ideas please post them. 2 heads better then one ^_^

There is a formula to determine the (cfm's) needed for grow spaces. if want let me know

First figure the square feet of grow space ( L x W) x 2000 this will give you , your lumens needed (lumen # should be on package for each bulb) example: 8x6 =64 x 200 = 128,000 lumens to effectily light your area. Now that you know the # of lumens needed you can figure your "cfm" (cubic feet of air movement). The base amount is 150-200 of cfm's per light (usualy cfm's are listed on box) Example: 6 lights x 200 is 1,200 -you will need 1 - 1,200 cfm fan or 2 -600 cfm fan out-put. Also the rate of fresh air exchange in grow are should be no more than 1-2 minutes

Why do u say no more then 1-2 mins, is it bad that I want a faster refresh rate ? Like every 30 secs ?
