vented hood recommendations for a square footprint???

I want to use (2) 1000 watt HPS vented hoods over my flower bed which will be 8 feet by 4 feet. So each hood will cover a square footpring of 4 x 4 feet. Any recomendations on good, vented, hoods to use? Was thinking Raptor or Magnum XXXL Ocho's, altho both of these have rectangular shapes, not square. ??

Went online and it looks like the Radiant or Blockbuster are recommended for a standard 4x4 footprint. Looks like the Raptor and Ocho are oversized hoods for larger growing areas (5 x 5 or greater).

I love adjust-a-wing for a square footprint. However, it is not vented. By far the superior reflector though. Any small cool tube should suit your needs, the smaller ones tend to be rather square.

haha you are so right. anyway. hey redburns, hoods are exspensive compared to cooltubes and all that metal radiates heat but they do give a nice shaped footprint, but you can put a butterfly type metal reflector on a cooltube and bend it till you have the pattern you want. it what i use now. sold hoods. you can also attatch 2 reflectors on a cooltube and you will have a huge reflector lol

Cool tubes sound like the way to go.. makes sense to me, less metal to get hot, less money.. Should I go with the 6 inch or 8 inch tubes? Are there any particular brands that are better or is there just one brand that makes the cool tube? Should I get the reflectors right away or wait and see? Thanks.. the lights are obviously a big decision for me.
