Vending to Dispenseries any Luck?

It's still the time of year when dispensaries are loaded up on outdoor and lowball everyone cause they are stocked up. That'll end soon.

People on this site have said don't front dispensaries. Is that a very common practice with dispensaries? Fronting? I even saw a thread that said a dispensary never paid them and didn't answer the door or phone when they came around to collect. But what if they do the send it in for testing thing? Has anyone dealt with a dispensary that sends in your stuff to be tested? How does that work? Thanks for any and all info.

Well they don't test the whole lb so probably just a sample.

The only place that I would give product on consignment would be Harbor Side in Oakland. They will send a sample of your product and test it for mold , pests etc. They make you wait about 7-10 days . Once the results come back they will pay you. That is the only dispensary i've ever encountered that actually tests products.
Honestly Harbor Side is the only business i've ever encountered that is run professionally.The rest of the dispensaries are a fucking joke.

The harborside vending process is that you bring in your pack, agree on a price, leave it with them, they send it in for testing, you come back in 7 days and they give you a check. On request they'll email you the test results too.
That's the only club I've been to that's asked to wait while they get it tested and I've been to a lot of dispensaries. If it wasn't harborside who has a perfect rep for paying people on time, I wouldn't even agree to that.
Also, 99% of the time when a club asks you to leave a sample so they can get it tested, they just smoke that shit. I won't even leave samples with dispensaries anymore. Most of the time one of the budtenders who has no buying authority just takes it home and smokes it with no interest in buying, just smoking your bud. If a club asks me to leave a sample I say "that's ok, maybe some other time. I'm going to get rid of this pack today" and walk out.
If a club does ask you to leave a sample, then it's very important to ask the person who wants the sample "are you the buyer?". If they say anything except "yes", then say "sorry, I can't" and walk out. They'll probably say some bull shit like "he's not here right now but I'll make sure they get it". If they do that, there is a 100% they'll just take your bud home and smoke it themselves and the buyer will never even know you left a sample. Don't fall for that. If you give nugs to every club employee who asks for them, you'll give away a whole lot of bud for no reason at all.

As far as consignment goes, I'll only do it with clubs I've done business with a few times already. Usually the reason I'll give them stuff on consignment is because I'm giving them too much stuff for it to be reasonable to ask for cash up front. I'll bring them a couple packs, if they agree to a reasonable price, then I set it up where they pay me a little each week. Usually when I come back to get paid, I keep leaving more and more stuff with them to get to the point where a club is paying me each week for a few months. That's just how I like to do thing. I've been burnt once doing that, but it wasn't that bad.
If a club I've never done business with before asks for consignment, I strait up say no. They should have the cash to buy something off you as long as you're going in the late afternoon. If I know someone else who does consignment with them, then I'll try them out with either the shittiest bud I have, or some concentrates, but I'm not leaving a pack of good bud with them. F- that. If they jack you, there is really nothing you can do about it. You're just screwed.

I know quite a few clubs that test their products. But other than HS, none of them make you wait while they test it. A good buyer should be able to check out your bud and get a good enough idea of how good your bud is to make a deal right there.
And yes indeed, every club besides harborside basically a fucking joke. Even harborside is a fucking joke sometimes. IMO it's because we have a chaotic system with no real set of rules. It'll all work itself out eventually.

Nice Dan, are you still running the Ewreck strain? I got some purple Diesel going right now. Folks in the bay area don't really care for it but its a decent cutting.Its from Medicinal Organics Da Purps X Soma NYC Diesel. I got a pic from the last crop for ya but it def. wasn't grown correctly , I didn't have a proper regiment for feeding and didnt have co2 .

If you're talking e32 wreck, then no. I haven't ran it for a few years. But it is considered the holy grail of trainwrecks, so if you have a chance to get a hold of it then do it. It's difficult to get though. I've hit up billygoat for it the last 3 times I've ran into him and he's always been out of it. I picked up a cutting of it up in humboldt a few years back but I lost my mom of it to blight. I did manage to get another arcata wreck mom and just rooted some clones of it. However my blue dream turned out so amazing that I'm not sure that I'm even going to do anything else in the near future. It might be all blue dream all the time for me for a while.
If it's THAT purple, then it is grown correctly IMO. You have to fuck up a plant to get buds that purple. Sure, the quality might not be as good as if it were healthy, but that color alone puts it in higher demand than higher quality bud that is less purple.
I'm doing a The Purps right now. My strategy was to keep it perfectly healthy until week 7, then do everything I can to fuck it up. I've got a 20 day/night temp difference going, down to 50 degrees at night. I'm also flooding the table with ice water for an hour at a time. I'm plugging up the wholes in the table and dumping 3-4 big bags of ice in there and just letting it sit to shock the roots.
It's working to an extent, but I wish I would have started a week earlier. The buds are decent with all of them getting a little purple, but I'd much rather have dark purple bud like that then what I've got.
Ill do a lot better on it this time. IMO I think I could of got it to fill out a little better. It turned out really hairy and thought that was a bit odd.
I pulled that at 42 days man. I was having a hard time with the trichromes. I wasn't seeing any cloudy or amber, just semi purple to purple..I had seen a lot of semi purple to purple and pulled. The majority of the hairs had turned and were starting to get darker.
I've never heard of a strain finishing that early.

btw that strain turns totally purple after the 10th day in flower. It's a 100% purple pheno.

I can't tell trichomes stages by looking at them without my USB microscope. IDK, plants just look "done" to me one day so I chop em. Not real scientific I know...
But yes, those definitely could have filled out a little more. For me I usually wait until the buds look totally filled out, then start flushing for a week, then chop. Waiting can be harsh, I know, but you loose a lot of yield if you don't. But still, those buds look perfectly acceptable. Your average joe who walks into a dispensary will be drooling over them. That stuff will fly off the shelves. And that's all buyers care about anyways, so well done.
