veggiepro from us to uk..help!!

Hi all at RIU,
i just got a veggiepro from the us and being used to run other appliances from the states on the uk main power voltage i bought a 100w 220v step-down to 110v converter, now because of my own simplemindedness i blew the bulbs and fuse on the first day by not pluggin it onto the converter...silly me...but now i got a new fuse (2.5 amp and 250v resistance) and when i plugged it in (this time through the converter) the new fuse blew again...i ordered a new base and new bulbs so i'll be sorted but can anyone help me and tell me if they've gone through anything similar, other people got away with just pluggin' theirs onto the step down converter...
in other words...help.

Im not sure what your asking here. Did you buy an AG with a UK plug on it? If so you say you have a transformer. If it is only rated to 100W then you only have about .9 amps to work with. I cant remember off the top of my head but I believe the AG takes 1.4 or something like that.

All good, got it to work with the step-down converter, seems fine atm, yeah it was an US AG with US plug, so far so good, hopefully...
