Most people have a fan blowing directly at the plants. Growing outside, the plants are subjected to wind and also move to follow the sun. They need this exercise to stimulate the growth of a strong stem and main branches. Otherwise the plant may not be able to support the weight of the buds when they develop. An oscillating fan is a popular choice but almost any breeze will shake the plants enough. The final height depends on other factors and is not affected much by this agitation.

Also, depending on the conditions in your grow space, it may be important to have airflow through the lower parts of the plants to prevent dampness and mold.

Indoor growers are usually limited on height and try to cultivate their plants so that they do not get too tall. Also, growing a lot of stem for height distracts the plant from making bud, which is its God given purpose on Earth :), although I don't know if that amounts to much of a difference. Typically, closet growers try to keep their plants 18"-36". For plants that want to grow taller than 36" people use pruning and training to manage this. Some strains of MJ can grow very tall if not controlled.

The final height of the plant depends mostly on its genetics, its light source and how big it is when it starts flowering.
Thanks zvuv, I appreciate the output. Maybe one more question :P My room temp is a steady 75* and humidity a steady 65%. Is this acceptable?

I personally do 16/8 I believe its more the dark phase to use the nutrients, rather than a longer day phase to build up nutrients.

75F is right on the money. 65% RH is well within the desired range 40%-80%. My weather is very dry and I have trouble keep it above 40% RH. Your conditions are more humid and I would definitely pay attention to mold control.

Good luck with your grow

@Ooga. Those sunglasses make you look really sinister!
