Sounds good, would be nice to see other tomato plants growing :)

i'll be up for it if i can. I have a cherry tomato that's about 5 months old and the small tomatoes are starting to get ripe. I can't post a picture until sunday/monday though coz i'm not home right now. If that's fine for the competition i'll post a full update with pics on sunday/monday.

I was getting nervous when i saw it was just the tomatoes at first, but Im in bro in all 3 categories
I started all my seeds on 2/20 under a 40w t5, and 68w's of cfl and moved them outside about 3 weeks ago..
Burpee hybrid tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, in the ground. They looked like shit until about a week ago...you should make some worst plant categories
NK cucumbers are in the ground to. i have about 15 plants and there climbing all over already, bushy about 3 feet on the trellis in some spots, flowers everywhere and 2 cucumbers about 7" long and growing.
NK jalapenos, NK green bell peppers, NK sweet peppers. some are in the ground and some are in 2 gallon pots. there finally starting to get used to the transplant and being outside. but there growing nice...ill get some new pics up tomorrow guys.

I also have..
3 kinds of lettuce
2 x onion
2 x watermelon
corn
giant pumpkins (just the name, still seedlings)
peas
about 7 kinds of flowers
cilantro
lemon basil

heres some quick pics i could find that big blue thing is my composter, theres a thread on it in the diy section. but the empty area around that is for the corn, pumpkins and more watermelon. i have some peppers there now in pots

Last night got down to 23 deg. F.. Lost my tomatoes and peppers. Was able to bring my watermelons in.

Is there anyway we can add watermelons to the list.

Will restart peppers and tomatoes too.

Thanks

sorry to hear that man, i know how that goes though had it happen to me a few weeks ago.

and yes we can add water melons to the list. i have black diamond watermelons. they only produced one last year and it was the size of a kids b-ball. they are supposed to get up to like 50 pounds or something so i hope i can get a bigger one this year.

and to new closetgrower. i just leave mine growing along the ground but you can use something for them to climb up on like a small fence or something, same goes with cucumbers and cantaloupe as well.

ok 1st pic is of my bell pepper plant for the comp, it is about 5 inches tall now,2nd pic is my tomato plant it is about 9 inches tall and is a beef steak. i forgot the pic of the cucs and melon. should only be about 15 more days untill plants go in the ground and then they should start to take off with growth ( hopefully).

i just want to try to keep it simple and have 1 plant per category. how ever with the water melon and cucs i will be using 2 and calling it one plant cuz i plant in hills of 2 and when they get bigger it is hard to tell witch plant is witch. so if you guys want you can use 2 for those categories..
and you can re enter the fruit off you plant if it was bigger or better then the last one you entered from the same plant. so say i enter a tom and then in 2 weeks i get a bigger one then i can re enter it.
looks like your plants are pretty far ahead of some of ours as well but thats fine. what parts you from?

hope this makes sense, i just got done with a wake n bake

Here are the pictures of my plants, I see that everybody is starting to grow now. I gotta have everything harvested by the beginning of July so I started a bit earlier with the grows. All the plants are in pots. The peper is growing indoor under CLF and the tomato and cucumber in the balcony. My first year growing veggies so everything is new and exiting, I love it :)

Here is the pepper, it has grown the first flower already, is 62 days old and about 40cm (15.7in) tall.

Here is the tomato, is 150 days old, I tried the first tomato yesterday and it taste really good. 70cm tall but I did some lst and cut some tops to keep it smaller due to space restrictions.

And here is the cucumber, 62 days old as the pepper. 55cm tall but it's also growing horizontally due to space restrictions, it started growing the female flowers last week:

Hey purple, thanks, loving the thread :)

It's not about the weather, it's the same here, the season finishes around September but I'm moving out the flat so gotta harvest everything before I leave.

You've got some nice plants yourself man, seems that you've got quite a few of then right ?
