Vegetative Growth...Help!?&*

o.k. so thank you all for answering my first question... Now, everything seems to be going good My God's Gift is a little slow but looks good. I just planted these clones 5 days ago, how long do they stay in vegetative growth before switching to 12/12. And whats the deal with Nuts? Do I have to add and when?:wall::leaf::dunce:

you can keep a clone or seed in the veg period as long as you like? usually i would say the shortest you want to take them is around 20 inches - i kept my white rhino 'feminized' seeds in veg for 10 weeks and im so happy i did! there pretty big babies now - the longer you VEG - the bigger the yield - so depending on how much time u have i'd veg for as long as possible!

now as for your nutes - your guna need nutes for both VEG and FLOWERING
i used simple organic 'iguana juice' for my veg period but i had pretty good soil it was 'bio bizz light mix' for seedling stage and then 'bio bizz all mix' for veg stage!
your guna need to feed with nutes every other watering althought i didnt use much nutes in the veg period as i wanted to try and be as natural as possible!
if your soil is whats known as 'hot' you will be fine for first 3/4 weeks with out nutes (depending on what strain it is ur growing)

for flowering - i use bio bizz bloom (as a base nute) and bud blood for the 1st week of flowering 'to help induce the flowers quicker' i also use big bud aswell - all in the same mix. Ive recently ordered some molasses (which are some form of carbohydrates) for the plants - you shud look into getting this product - its cheap and seems like a well accoladed product through out the forums! its kind of like food for ur soil!

Thank you so much for the input, its so cool to see people helping!!! I have some gods gift, trainwreck, white diesel, and diablo og, its my first time and I wanterd to see what works. I know now to stick to one kind next time. I only have 6 plants in 8" pots, foxfarm soil, 600w hps, in a closet with door open, and a fan. Temps been around 72-80 with humidity 35-40%. The wd, tw, seem to be doing great, og and gg, are slow. Am I doing things right? 18on 6off, water every 3-4 days. Thank you so much :lol:

sounds like you got the jist of it pretty well yes - let me tell you tho - if your going to VEG for 6 weeks + = i would DEFFO get some pots bigger than 8'' you will see some amazing vertical growth especially when u hit the flower period so i would advise on re-potting them asap (if you have the space) yeah 18/6 for the light cycle is a good way of doing it, but i like the 24/0 myself but each to there own!
what you have not told me is the PH of your water ur giving them and then the PH of the run off? this is crucial and a big factor to sustaining a good easy healthy grow!
make sure the fan does not blow CONSTANT on the plants - have it rotating and moving around fresh air freely - when you move to your 600w HPS it will get hot in there so be aware you will need a couple of fans (especially a fan blowing on the plants foliage)

yes water about that time and feed nutes every other watering - the best way to know when to water or feed is when the top of the soil is dry and crispy - put ur finger bout 2/3 inches down into the soil and if its dry water em - follow this rule and LESS is more with the nutes - my white rhino love nutes so its been a full feed every other watering - these ladies get THIRSTY with a 600w HPS

Plants will double, perhaps triple, in height when in flower. So how long you veg is a matter of how much space you have for the mature plant. I also veg with 24/7 light. Your humidity should be higher. Get a cool mist humidifier at walmart for like $30.

thanks england, my ph has been between 6-7 I am using bottled water, it doesnt rain much where i'm at. White diesel is about 12" and the trainwrecks are growing fast, my og, and gods gift are slower but new growth almost every day. I am already on the 600w hps, im on a budget and couldnt afford to start with mh. But i am keeping my temps between 75 and 70d. I can only grow up to 5 feet.... whats the difference to leave the lights on 24, and can I switch them now?
