Veg too long

Is it possible to let plants veg for too long, missing the right time for flowering? Mine are 7 weeks old now and are showing pre-flowering signs. Have I missed the optimum time to send them into flowering?

pot plants flower according to the ammount of dark that they are exposed to not the plants age, dont miss the critical 8 week root inspection and cleaning

ok @ 8 weeks you remove the plant from the pot and take a power washer to the roots to clean em up

What's a power washer? Is it some sort of high-pressure hose? It sounds a bit drastic. Surely this would damage the delicate root system.

oh no... as long as your ph is good, you don't want to be washing roots with water that is too acidic, you'll be smoking your harvest way sooner!!!

i have 4 sensi star mothers that are just about 8 weeks old from clone anyway and been in 3 gallon pots and was wanting to transplant them to something bigger. i transplanted 1 that is in a 7 gallon pot a month ago but still have 4 more. they dont seem to be root bound yet but they are over 3ft tall. can you elaborate on this root washing business and i will try with one of the 4 this weekend when i get my soil and pots. i would like to see if there are any noticible differences in recovery time (if need be).
