Veg times when grown from seed??

I've always grown from clones with the exception of growing from seed once. The veg times for clones stay pretty similar amoungst most people I have gathered. Most people I think veg them for two or 2 weeks after they are good and rooted and even up to two months but when you grow from seed, what is a normal veg time? Unlike clones, 2 weeks on a little seedling pop up can't go into flower with any success. It makes me think that a height requirement might be better to sort of gauge when I'd like to put this plant into flower. That being said, ... how do you guys do it? Thanks in advance for your input into this discussion! :)

seedlings should be mature before you flower them. Clones Generally are mature when cloned meaning they can go straight from clone to flower. With seedlings you want to wait for one of 2 signs. PreFlowers are a good way to know if your plant is mature and the other is the node development. Mature plants and a staggering node development whereas immature plants will generally have symetrical growth .

Thanks Bakatare, Thats the kinda advice I was looking for. I don't remember the amount of time I vegged the seeds last time. I know the height wasn't huge because I had little to no stretch. They were really bushy because I had the kept the lights really close thoughout the duration. It was a good cycle. I ended up getting almost 8 ounces off of 3 plants indoors.
I just did one for 30 days, and she was showing sex, 10" tall and 12" wide when I did the flip.

It takes 2-3 weeks for a seedling to grow as big as most (of my) clones. I usually send them to flower by size,
somewhere from 16-24 inches tall. That means 5-6 weeks vegging for seedlings and 3-4 weeks for clones.

Hope that helps, BigSteve.

I veg from seed 8-10 weeks, I also have a 3 foot rule. I end up with a even height crop in flower 4+ feet, It makes it easier with the lights, I can keep the lights at one height.
