My seedlings are yellowing some are gripping down but others twisting up.

it was hitting 33 under 4 x400 hps so I’ve just turned them down to 250.

ihad them under a t5 for two weeks prior.

they have been in here a week just done a light mix of ph water at 1.3 nut mix

is it the heat and is there a way to claw back?

thanks

Holy hell! That's like killing a unicorn with like... a bomb. If I had to run your equipment I would have used one light placed further away... but then the stretch. You need a different light for veg to get them ready for HPS Armageddon.

You recon turn them down to 250 or just put the t5 back in?

and start again or revive?

cheers

Do they ever get a dry cycle; looks pretty damp? Small plants in large containers. Yellowing can be from root rot and I see some necrosis on your leaves. Normal light picture would help.

Nah you were definitely ready to step up the T5 but 50w to 1,600w is too much of a leap. You want about 500-600par which is achievable at different wattages and heights. With led you can put the lights within 6in no problem and get the par you need at a heat they can tolerate.

All that light made them transpire too quickly and absorb too many nutrients. I would start over personally, but I know some people would try to fix it to not waste the time and effort.

No the pots sit in trays and use a valve to fill up the water when it’s low, I think they’re supposed to take what they need, similar to the iws system!

I’ll get some day pics

I see what you’re saying I didn’t really think about the combine wattage more to what was above the plants!

It's not the simplest thing growing this herb, but just remember that a mistake is only a mistake because you've now learned the truth. ︎
