Veg plants flowering...why?

Alright, Ive been on an 18-6 light cycle for a year now. I have had a couple girls preflower a bit, but now all my girls are flowering. Temp's been stable @ 70-75 deg f, air and res temps. I did switch from HOuse and GArden's Aqua Flakes, to Jungle Juice from Advanced. Is it possible the nute switch is causing this? i did switch to a 20-4 cycle a few days ago. Will post pics if needed.

Thx in advance dudes!:bigjoint:

Nutes do NOT induce plant growth stages, they merely support it or screw it up. Your hours changed is most likely your cause whether it is 12 hours or not. I'm no expert on plants that age with your situation.

Sorry, I guess i wasn't clear on the light cycle. I was on 18-6, then after noticing the flowering, and it progressing, i switched to a 20-4 cycle. To hopefully stop the flowering process. Was switching to 20-4 a bad idea?Thx for ruling out the nutes causing it.

Also, to address Mcwhippin, I havent had the same plants in veg for a year, there have been many diffferent girls/strains come through. They would be giants if i had vegged for a year though!!

Here is where pics are critical. You say flowering. Actuall progressive heavy bud development? Or just heavy pre-flower pistils?

Nope, they were clones.
I have had clones start flowering in my 18-6 veg room when they were 8 days old, 5% of them started flowering and the other 95% were fine. It happened right after I started foliar feeding with a new product so I chalked it up to the introduction of the new food somehow triggered some into flower, I stopped foliar feeding with the new product and they reverted back to veg after a week.

Heavy pre-flower pistils. No bud developement. Will post pics when i get home. I think one of the girls is starting to show some calyxes. Not 100% sure.
Thx for the quick replies Hotrod.

that the norm. one or two pistils per node is normal for preflowers. especially on plants vegging about a month or mor in size. clones normally have them right away unless they are really small when you take them.

That makes sense. The girl thats showing the most pistils has been in veg for a couple months. Thx guys for the help. I was thrown off that all of them have some sort of pistil growth. And ive never had that happen before. Since i started noticing it around the time i switched nutes, i correlated the two, wrongly.
