Veg before putting out

So this year I can finally veg my plants I doors before taking them to my grow site. I was thinking of starting my seeds now but I don't want monsters to transport to my grow. I have to travel by car, on major highways. I'm in NE pennsylvania and realistically I won't be planting outside for about 4-5 weeks. How big will they be (I know there are a ton of factors) if i veg for that long? FYI I'm starting 18 reg seeds so I'm looking at ~9 plants give or take.

Start em now, you can always top em 4-5 days before transplant outdoors.
Wow I didn't really even consider that! Thanks. I'm gonna get them going this weekend then. Growing willamette valley pineapple (pinealpple express) and satellite Cindy. Both from OGS

Important to use only warm white even hps lights from germ, you need that tall stretchy lanky look, so at 12-18 inches you dig the hole out in 2-3 weeks that 3/4 of the plant is in the ground deep in the ground so you don't have to serve it water for weeks on end, a tall shaft will allow roots to grow out in 1-2 weeks, yeah fim before the trip too is good

Good info. This year I am trying Super Sour OG , Dr Kringle and Strawberry Blue outdoors. I am starting seeds indoors until 2ft then outdoors. I am in New Mexico. and hoping I am not too late in the season . Ive been growing outdoors for 3 years. I think these strains will be awesome.

How do you prep your plants to protect them from haboobs?

The area is not out in the open, a couple of out buildings protect plants from the wind somewhat. But, the wind is pretty strong here and the plants get blown around a bit, but that also makes the plant stem hardier.
