Veg 10 seedlings under 600w HPS until sex is determined?

Will this cramp them? Would it work to grow out 10 seedlings under a 600w until sex is determined then cull the males? I am assuming a 6/10 female/male ratio give or take. I would ideally like to flower 5 females. should I start only 8 seeds maybe?

Really depends on where the seeds came from, mother,....etc.... way to many variables! Seeds are a guessing game, your pretty much playing a roulette game, either one could go, mabye all, none, or some...etc......But besides all that i usully try to think of at least a 50/50 ratio (just in case) so whatever you are planning on growing double the seeds up, but thats just me! Hope that helps ya some!

The way to get the most bud out of your 600w is to do a sea of green (solid canopy of leaves). To do the sea of green you can use 1 plant or 10 plants.. 1 plant is going to take a lot longer to fill the space, and 10 plants will fill the space pretty fast, allowing your to get your buds in less time. If you have too many plants for the space then just throw out the weaker looking ones.

HPS (red spectrum) will increase males ratios.

thanks guys.... maybe just do all 10 seeds under a 250w MH for a few weeks then switch it to the 600w HPS and weed out the males and any weak females if I have too many. Not much of another choice! PEACE!
