Variation on 72 hours of darkness

I've read some excellent posts here, on finishing in the dark. It appears the consensus is to turn off the lights for 24 hours, then hang the plant with the roots still on, for 2 more days.

I'm considering a variation on this, based on something I read many years ago. It said that cool nights and warm days increased THC production. It would be difficult (i.e. expensive) to duplicate that inside my grow room.

I have a spot for drying with good ventilation. It also gets a very small amount of indirect light during the day, and we have cool nights and warm days.

So, my plan is, to wrap plastic around the roots and soil, creating a 6" diameter root ball. Then, tie it tight around the base of the plant, so dirt and moisture doesn't drip on the plant. Once I hang it upside down, I'll put a few small holes in what is now the top to get some air to the soil.

It will be a long slow death for this beautiful lady. My guess is it will take 2 weeks, before it's actually dead. But, will just keep it like that for a few more weeks, until the buds are dry.

Anyone see any problems in doing this? Or, perhaps have other suggestions?
