Vaporizers

For all of you who have never tried a vaporizer: What is wrong with you? I love my vaporizer! Who here smokes out of a vaporizer and which ones would you recommend? (I'm going to start a collection)

Ive been thinking about buying a good recommended vaporizer. But I havent wanted to spend $300 - $400 for a good one. What do you use? Do you have a picture and how much did it cost?
At the moment, I make my own homemade vaporizer. :hump:

I have a HotBox and a Vapir 02 mini...

The hotbox was $130 and the Vapir was $100 I wouldn't trade them in the for the world. The hotbox is great for sitting in front of my PC and getting baked while I watch porn and check out RIU.

The Vapir is awesome for going out clubbing, it's tiny and for an extra $20 or so you get the battery pack which makes it quite portable. The battery pack lasts long enough to get a good circle of people stoned. The one thing is I changed out the tubing on the Vapir, it tasted nasty, so I cut my Hotbox tubing and put it on the Vapir, no worries now.

I haven't smoked since I got the vapes and I certainly didn't spend $600, that's damned hear an Oz down here, I wouldn't drop that on a vape unless it was plated in gold!

I like vapes. I have a Volcano (not the digital display one). But I actually prefer smoking. I want to get an iInhale for toking up in my car before dinner / movie / show so I don't wreak of pot when I get out.

I vape when I have shit to do, or when I am going out because it gives me a nice functional head buzz. You can get double duty out of the remains and cook with them.

But other than that I like to smoke out of CLEAN glass and watch a movie.

I have a $120 vapor cannon. It's no volcano, but it has a slightly thicker vapor than most other vaporizers. It uses a ceramic heating element and a glass whip, which allows for a more controlled hit. However, there's no digital readout, so you have to guess at the temperature. Me and my friend also use a vapor mini. Nice portability (nothing like a vaporizer at a bonfire) and battery life. It also comes with a digital readout, so you can get the temperature ~ where you want it. Cons are that it breaks easily (I bought one of the earlier versions... contemporary versions seem more stable) and the screens have to be replaced frequently.

On a different note; has anyone else noticed that their tolerance to bud is WAY higher than it used to be (since after starting to use vaporizers)? Sometimes a friend of mine will roll a blunt. Normally you smoke a blunt and you get really, really high. But, since I've started using vaporizers, it seems that I can now smoke multiple blunts and still not really be that high... kinda sucks.

To tnrtinr: You think smoking from CLEAN glass is healthier?

I have 2 Vaporstars, each were about $50. All I need is a Bic and I'm vaping in seconds.

U guys use the iolite ? The one advertised all over this site ?

I have an Iolite. I really like it. I walk the dog and take my vape and dig the stroll.

Crusing in the car, it looks like a cell phone or a walkie-talkie.

Nobody could know what I'm doing. 'Cept for us who "know."

I pack about a 1/3 gm into it. It takes about 3-5min to get going. Then it's off to the races.

There are folks on the selling lists who will let 'em go at $180. They are brilliantly designed and deliver the goods. Very clever.
