vaporizer or smoke? and why?

A heat gun is a vape, technically. There is no combustion so it's all good. I think you should have all three. The Volcano for when you are socializing, the vapor box for when you are alone and want to vape copious amounts of ganja (can't use only a little or it won't vape right, kind of like volcano) and the heat gun w/bong for when you are alone and only want to vape just one bowl.

IMHO the vape tastes, and smells the best from the vapor box, The volcano gets me the highest and is the most fun to use, and the heatgun/bong is the most convenient.

Smoking or cooking with re-vape is disgusting and completely ruins the experience. Re-vape your re-vape or throw it away. The volcano is the best system for re-vape.

volcano, got 1 and gave up smoking a year ago come december 7th, been smoking for 32 years. didnt rate volcano til stopped smoking but after a few weeks i loved it and still do.so healthy i ran the marathon.

So the Vaporbrothers Vaporizer is the way to go? I am looking into them and that is in my price range of about $150. So just want to make sure. VB Vapo is the best for my price?

I have a " Da Bhudda" vaporizer , LOVE IT. very well built ,made in Boulder Co. I think , around $160 .Here is a link to their site

I have turned my friends onto this unit and they are buying their own now.
Somewhere in the RIU archives there is a post that shows how to build a vaporizer out of a light bulb , look it up.
The first impression most people have is , "I'm not getting anything" , because we are used to the smoke thing , NO SMOKE with the Vaporizer , unless you turn it up too high. I tell my friends to take a few hits and wait , pretty soon they "get it".
Another plus for the Vaporizer is it IS healthier than smoking, have you noticed how hard it is to clean out your pipe ? I would have to use rubbing alcohol or Vodka to cut the tar and clean my pipe , with the Vaporizer you can clean the tubes with just warm water and soap.....NO TARS.

Yes perhaps, but it does work, and costs next to nothing. For those who want a 'taste' of vapeing a lightbulb works. I want to get a real vaporizer myself, but I use my bulb on the occasion. BTW a bulb is also great for any 'Sally D' smokers out there :D

I'd say that for your first vaporizer, you should get a HANDS FREE vapor brothers vapor box. I got mine on ebay for about $120 shipped, and saved $40 off retail.

The only disadvantage I can find with this unit is that you have to load a good amount of weed for it to work properly. You grind up the weed, then put it in the glass bowl part of the whip, and you have to pack it down a little bit in the bowl before you attach the whip/hand piece to the ceramic heater. If you don't pack it down enough, weed falls out and gets burned by the heater. If you don't have enough weed in there, you can't pack it down properly. They do have some aftermarket hand pieces/whips I've seen on ebay that have double screens on them to prevent weed from falling down into the heater.

well, it doesn't really burn it or ruin it, it just spends it, removing the oils and most of the good stuff. I just think smoking re vape is super harsh and dirty, that's why I don't do it. It does get you a little stoned though. If you are really jonesing, you should try to vaporize a bunch of the revape instead of smoking it though.

It's not that crazy. Probably about .75-1 gram+ for best results. You can't vaporize small bowls like you can in your pipe/bong/chillum etc..

i have the volcano vaporizer and it certainly is more economical in terms of weed used/ hours of high gained. My friends and i are heavy tokers, but we can all get high off of a gram in the vap. I will usually pack in a .2-.5 and that will fill the volcano vap bag about 5-6 times well, after that starts to be less potent, but weve certainly filled like 8-10 bags off weed. One bag full is like 10 hits, or pass between 4-5 people kind of thing.

that being said, im addicted to smoking, not marijuana, and since i dont smoke cigarettes the vap is still confined to when im sick or low on weed.

Are you a little school girl? One standard size Volcano bag (the one's that come with the system) is only 3 hits, max. The third hit is usually only 3/4 of a hit.

Or, are you using bigger bags?

I don't need to research, you need to provide adequete information. The standard sized bags that come with the system are 3 hits, max. You go around posting that you get 10 tokes from your Volcano without mentioning you upgraded to bigger bags and it's like spreading misinformation. If you got the big bags you should specify, it's common sense.
