okay, i bought this "extreme vaporizer" a few months ago. I paid $300 for it and only used it a couple times.

i found it uses more weed to get me as high as i usually get from using a bowl. i only put about 1/2 gram in it.

maybe i'm not doing something right.. i get a little high but nowhere near stoned to the bone. usually 2-3 hits from a bowl gets me pretty high..

i set it to about 170-175C, am i doing something wrong? or is that all i'm going to get out a vape.. a mild mellow high?

ive used a volcano for around 18 months, didnt really appreciate it until i packed up smoking 14 months ago.the two really dont mix. now my volcano knocks me out.

If you collect you vapor from a bag it should be really dense. You shouldnt be able to see through it. Also when you bust your weed for vaporization make sure its as fine as you can get it. I wouldnt keep a vaporizer unless i had a coffee grinder for keiff. Also you prolly got a crappy vaporzer. Theres prolly only 3 good vaporizers out there. The volcano obviously is the best. I hear the i-inhale is good and the same with silver surfer.

Theres only 3 good vapes? I don't think so bro. Pretty sure I have smoked from a plethora of vapes and gotten high as fuck off of all of them.
its called knowing the proper temperature to get the effect you want. Research helps.
But people talking out their ass on some shit saying theres only 3 good vapes does no one any good.

I agree I've got a Hotbox and a Vapir O2 and they both get me stoned as fuck! They aren't in the '3' list either. I'm just not willing to pay $500 - $700 for a vape.

With the HotBox it's knowing exactly 'how' to pull. Knowing the heat isn't an issue because it's only got 2 settings, on or off. The faster you pull the more vapor you get, the lighter you pull the lower temp vapors come off and you get less of a high.

The Vapir O2 is about knowing the temp and knowing how to laod it. It's more complex than the hot box, but portable for clubbing and what not.

I have no experience with the extreme vape, but I packed up smoking completely in favor of vapes.

dude, your not doing something right, or its your vapo. ive had the og volcano for a couple years now, still running strong and i wouldnt trade it for any smoking device in the world. the type of weed is also a big factor, i only have to pack about a .2 of good shit to get a lot of vapor, me and my girls usually share bowls, we each get about 4-5 clean good hits each (two balloons). have you tried raising your temp? i actually vape at a bit higher temp about 185-190 C . .

you make it sound more complicated than it really is. . who wouldnt want to know their temp vs. just an on button?? thc vaporizes at 155 C. with different temps you can also make your bud last longer, vape it at the normal temp, then when your stash is running low, you regrind the bud and re vape at a higher temp. not as great as the first, but still a very nice high.

Are you suggesting that I should use 311F for my vape temperature? I usually keep it around 370-375F.

I've tried a few diff ones and non of them compared to the volcano. Majority of them on the market suck.
i wouldnt go as far and say that they suck, but i do agree that others dont really compare.. unless you want portability.

ive only used the boxed ones vapor bros i think a few times a while back like 4 years ago. It was ok, didnt own one so couldnt really mess with it, but what do you expect for $100. I just dont like when people hate on the volcano just becuase its $500. Its a fine piece of machinery and worth every penny.

no, i dont know how accurate the 155C is, there are different oppinions i guess on what the vaporization point of thc is.

370-375F is good from my experience. thats around the same temp i use.. a bit higher maybe. . i dont mind the thicker vapor..

It's not that complex at all. I've found I get longer usage from my herb out of the hotbox than I do out of the vapir. The hotbox runs right at 375F *laser temped it* while I have to crank the Vapir up to 390F, using the exact same herb. I get probably 3 - 5 highs out of the hotbox and 2 out of the Vapir, but I put less herb in the Vapir so it averages out.

As far as the volcano or the extreme vape goes I simply don't want to spend that kind of money or screw around with the bags. I like the Vapir and the Hotbox because they're both solid state (no moving parts) which means less things to break. That and the Hotbox is made in California which means if it does go bad then I can get it fixed in the US instead of having to screw around with an Indian on the other end of the phone or international shipping.

I know 5 people who have the hotbox and they all love it because it is so simple and it's even a little decorative. I'm not saying anything bad about either the Volcano or the Extreme, I've not used them so I don't know if they're good or bad. I would put the hotbox up against any other 'box' vape on the market because of the ease of use and the customer service.
