well i left on x-mas morning and came back today to find out my baby's were looking sad i bought them a new light setup on the way home and put it together and also have pics of the plants they are almost 2 weeks old and no nutes and the light is 5 6500k 23-26w bulbs PLz help

looks like your waters ph is bad if thats good soil you got um in

plus pic number 11 the sol is sopping wet,it only needs to be slightly moist, your probly drowning the roots from oxyegen,

its a weed not a delicate flower

that soil look way over watered, and it does not look like it has any perlite or vermiculm that will help the oxygen get to the root.

so you might need to water them less and mix up some new soil.

slow down... i am sure you knew you would be away for a while and just over watered them...so just ease back on the watering and they should bounce back to the good...

Another thing you should check out is the heat being generated by those lights you're using. I can't tell by the picture, but if they are anything other than floros, its probably a heat issue. Those little seedlings don't need a lot of light.

yeah you may be right about that i didnt thinkabout that! right on!

he did say "5 6500k 23-26w bulbs" that says CFL to me, so i doubt its a heat problem. they do look like they are swimming ;)

i did the same thing the first time i grew... I literally watered them to death.. didnt make it past 2 weeks :( but you live and you learn.

hopefully if you let them be and don't water until the soil is almost dry they will bounce back, as said before its just a weed... don't over nurture

I'm with you here Vi..I don't put any seedling into any artificial light for a day or two and only 18/6... 90% of my babies grow fine and 1 male in 6 years... just lucky I guess...

i just watered before this pic i water everytime it dry like 2in deep about every3-4 days so less then this?? and yes this is CFL and i have huge 20in boxfan blowing on them so dont think it heat this is my second attempt at growing and obviously somthing im doing aint right i have everything right tho:-( im so confused i guess i'll trying waiting few more days in between watering also my plans get 24 hr light so maybe this is an issue?? u guys dont think it's a defficency of some sort? well hope u get back soon

ok you dont need the two 20" box fans to start off with...and just dont over water...what kind of soil are you using????????? make sure that the soil is a good soil with out pre nutes not like miracle grow... try another type of soil so you can add the nutes at the right rate... and i know it is hard but leave them alone as much as you can except to water them or to move light up...cfl's can be put right next to the plants without worrying about heat stress but keep your eyes on them on a daily basis...i used 18/6 light on my plants

i have 1 box fan not 2 and only fan i got so thats what im using im putting my soil on here looks good to me dunno tell me what u guys think

oh i miss read about the fans i thought there were 2 fans....but one of those fans should be ok as long as it is on low...as far as the soils you may want to either mix some perlite in that soil or find some that has some in it so it wont compress too much around the roots...the roots need space and somewhat loose soil to grow and get oxygen or other wise the roots can rot and start to die if not corrected... i hope this helps!

yep that soil will be fine if you mix in some perlite. about 20% prelite

so i'm still amiss on whats goign on with my plants are you guys convinced it's over water?? i water every 3-4 days and it's dry bout 2 in down when i do water....i wouild like to know whats up....can't figure it out:wall:

You should water when the dirt is dry almost all the way to the bottom. The roots at the bottom of your pots are literally drowning from constantly being waterlogged. You can have 100000000000 people tell you its over watering, but if you don't listen its not going to do you one bit of good. Styrofoam is NOT perlite and does not do the job that perlite does. Go the the store and buy some PERLITE. mix up a 50% perlite to 50% soil mix and that should help your OBVIOUS drainage problem.

thank you for the bluntness i will wait a full week to water but they might die before then so i dunno i'm staring some new seeds and going to get sum perlite

going to get the perlite is the best thing you can do......... you may be able to save your plants that you have now but you must watch the over watering! have a great grow!
