vac purges???????

kinda been ignorant about this step, but I now am interested and want to buy one. I don't really know anything about them.

are they all the same?

how long does it take to purge lets say 5gs?

whats the most one would want to vac at once?

1. No they are not all same. Come in many different sizes, and 1 and 2 stage motors.
2. Purge time is determined by pump size and temp. Cant answer your question without you pump size and chamber size.
3.Depends on your chamber size.

its for personal... so I could probably get away with the smaller one. looks like a 3 gallon, 6 cfm???? is the one I was looking at. if I put 5gs of budder how long doesit take andhow much will average return be?

There is no set time... Ya gotta know what you are doing and watch for the signs that it is done.

im a badass but im also a dumbass when it comes to the purging and oil in general I get to this and im like fukit an start smoking. would love for someone to fully explain purging it step by step without saying how not to do it or how they cant explain it or saying "you just gotta know"

I think im going to experiment with knotty style with small amounts. I have a lot of slick jars

i have the 3 gal 3cfm from ebay.. things decent sized.. i mean u can purge a good amount .. but if ur going to be only sticking to personal.. and never expanding the grow to produce weight for bho.. i would get the 1 gallon Flat.. its just about the exact same size as the 3.. except the 1 gallon is shorter.. which i wish i would have got. but i can buy any pot and use my lid.. so it dont matter.

how much can one run do? i smoke like .5 aday, and i don't want to purge every other day. i usually have an oz. of budder for personal.

umm . it all depends on what consistency you want .. but we can get around 10-20 grams at a time so far thin film.. but i am waiting on more butane. so im not postive as to how much u could vac at once.. but the last run was 19 grams and if fit fine.. and came out amazing..
i wouldnt get more then a 5gallon.. and if ur not turning lbs of nugs or trim into oil id stick with a 3 gallon its not huge.. but does the job. plus it makes the job go by sooo much faster that u can make sooo much more properly purged oil in the same amount of time as a water bath heat purge without a vac.. but the quality with a chamber is sooo much better. we were runnin without a vac for a while kuz we were making small amounts of headsmoke but now we are running more.. and the 3 gallon is fine.
