Hey guys. Trying to get this Sativa to finish. She's really nute burnt, flushed it fixed her, but wondering if these reptile lights will make her produce more THC? I think I read some where that UV light is harmful to the plant and causes it to produce more Trichomes to reflect the light? Would it be harmful to me if I used it for the last month or two of flowering for liked 30 min or 4 hours? And will it benefit the plant? I couldn't find a straight answer.

P.S. She's been flowering for about 3 and a half months under 6 - 23W(100W Replacement) - 1650 Lumen CFLs.

Thanks guys!

nothing produces THC like robust healthy plants. UVB will only stress that poor girl and id work on 10 other things before you even think about introducing another variable
10 other things? Elaborate please. Yeah, there were time released nutes that caused her to look shitty. 10 other things. lol.

I keep looking for a grow journal of yours or even a picture of something you've grown. Can't find

how much do you value your eyes is the question,

that said I'd be tempted to shine UV on her too

in reality the bulb is too small,

far better to drag her outside for some fresh air and sun

for as long as you can each day, until chopped

that way she gets all the rays she needs

good luck

It's a problem getting plants to finish under CFL... especially if they're sativa leaning. Maybe the UV will help if u get it up really close.

No amount of light is gonna fix it. She looks like a mass of narrow foxtail type growth.
You already stated she was jacked up , nute burned , flushed , and drop kicked.
She is stalled / stunted and will pretty much will do nothing.h
I would say look at the triches ... If at least half ass , cut and make some oil.

some sativa's can take a long time to finish, like 20 to 30 weeks.just try to keep it healthy and let it do its thing.

I'd scratch it and try again. As far as the UV question, yes I have read that it increases potency, but I think you want to use a little at a time until you know what is too much or too less. I actually found this trying to find the same answer.

UV is only worth it if the plant is exposed to it for as long as the main light source is on.

If you want to compete against outdoor grows, you need UV since our solar system's sun produces it constantly.

Regarding the comment about your eyes... buy a pair of sunglasses that have a UV protection coating.

The bulbs such as agromax pure uv puts out CONSIDERABLY MORE UVB than our Sun does in nature. It's been shown a lot lately that full exposure causes waxy dead leaves. You want about 15 mins an hour for the middle 6 of your 12 hours of lights on.

P.s. @Growmau5 wtf happened to your UVB and Far Red experiment you said you'd do? Its like it just dissappeared when Canopy 10 came into fruition.

Your first statement goes against what I have read in a number of places. For instance, for this bulb:
http://www.htgsupply.com/products/agromax-4-foot-t5-uv-a-plus-bulb
It is suggested it be run in 15 minute increments for the first 4 hours of the light cycle.

Also contrary to another post it is not put "really close" but a meter away.

That said I would wait for your next grow for that reptile light as this grow looks tortured enough albeit used in moderation it probably would not hurt.

You can run uvb for 2 hours a day the last 2 week only and see the benefits. I have used uvb bulbs for the last 2 years and have tried them all different ways.

The agromax uv bulbs you better listen to the warning you will burn the plants. I got 4 of them to see how they compare to the arcadia that I have been using. I will say its double the uvb output of the arcadia. I use to be able to run 2 hours straight uvb bulbs inches away from the plants. Not with the agromax bulbs. 10 on and 10 off for 3 hours no closer than 12 inches it just scorches them.

The timing and distance I reference was what was suggested by testers at HTG supply and yes specifically for the bulb I linked to.

same, I agree. I used the arcadia for a while. Then i got the hortilux and the agromax. I think they all work but the Agromax seems to pack a far bigger punch than the others. In my set up 35ook and 4k the plants grow fastest with the spectrum provided by the hortilux.

wtf happened to it? 40hrs a week at a day job, 6hrs a week answering emails, yt comments, RIU, 3-4 hrs a week producing content, 8 hrs a week doing builds, projects, making things to make videos about. 7-10hrs a week actually running my grow.
there are 168 hours in a week. all this shit, plus drive time, sleep, eating, harvesting, forces me to prioritize. cheers
