UVB Bulb??

Will adding one of those UVB reptile bulbs in my grow box make my plants produce more resin?

I've heard that growing the same strain at different altitudes (like 1 plant at sea level and 1 at 10,000ft) will produce different amounts of THC, because the one at the higher altitude will have less ozone protecting it and more UVB rays will hit it.
True or not?

There is a lot of discussion about UVB bulbs. The idea is that UV light triggers more resin production, since the resin is actually the plant's defense against UV rays from the sun. However, UV light also breaks the resin down (since that's what the plant is protecting against). I've read that the best way to use UV bulbs is to trigger it to come on for only 4 hours of the total 12 hour period each day and remove it the final week.

My guess is that it probably is enough light to trigger a UV response but not enough to damage the resin much. Hope that helps.

Probably right. Stick to the basics and dial in everything else before trying experimental stuff. When you're pulling 1g/w then you can afford to try something different.

Until you have the perfect nutrient regiment, a solid set-up, etc, just stick to stuff like Snowstorm Ultra for more resin.
