Using your walls

Something I've tried in the past an increased my surface area in a 4 x 4 x 6 grow room. I had a horizontal light with shade which covered the 16 square foot are to work with, but like always I get greedy and grow too much and gets too crowded. So, I ran a shelf around three of the walls allowing me to set up some, and spread out the others. Then taking my 400w hps and hacking it down to just the fixture, bulb and the cord attached, I hung it vertical within the center of the bowl shaped sog. Helped me up the number of plant I was able to do and manage the light within the most effecient manner.

I actually saw thread about this on another form, saying basic flat floor method, on a 8 x 8 x 8 room, uses 64 sqft of surface area. on a bowl, or set up sog you gain to 92 sqft of surface going totally vertical you max out at 150 sqft.
