Using seeds from moldy bud ok?

Got hit with mold on a couple of my plants this year. A few of the branches were purposely seeded and I was wondering if the mold will have any effect when I go to use them next year. I assume nothing is wrong with them. Lost a couple huge colas but if I can at least salvage seeds it won't be as bad of a loss.

I too would assume that they would be fine. It depends on if the mold affected the development of the seeds. I dont think mold would carry over in its genes. If they germinate strong then go for it.

The plant was pollinated 6 or so weeks ago so they should be fully developed. The mold did not start until the last 7-10 days. I will do a little trial and clean some of them as you stated and leave the rest alone.
I have plenty to experiment with=).

I never had a speck of mold last year. The weather this year was slightly cooler, low humidity and hardly any rain for the past month until a week ago. The buds were so damn fat and dense they didn't get enough circulation to dry back out.
